My roof started leaking during heavy rain, I called Herts. Jimmy showed up within an hour and did an inspection of my roof. They provided three options and were able to start the work within 2 days. We had a water leakage stain during the inspection and Jimmy came another day pretty quick. He checked everything inside of the attic and outside of the roof and checked drip edge. He was very thoughtful and tell us not to worry about it too much since that is probably a pretty old stein, he asked me to monitor it and if we found something new in a windy rainy day, come to him again.

My neighbor had a new roof installed last year and, in speaking with him a month ago, I asked him, "how do you like your new roof"?. He told me that he used Herts Construction and that they inspected his roof and assessed it as being wind damaged. I had no idea there was anything wrong with my roof, but I figured if the neighbor who lives across the street had wind damage , then I might have it as well. I called Herts for a free roof inspection. They said I DID have wind damage and I should file a claim with my insurance company. Project Manager Jennifer and the Herts roof inspector Jimmy (Jimmy is also an independent insurance adjuster who talks the insurance company's language) told me that one of them will be on site when the insurance company roof inspection is done, to insure that all damage is found and documented. They are both excellent at what they do. Sure enough, the insurance company's roof inspector, with Jennifer's help, found significant wind damage and approved my roof replacement. I have worked with a lot of HVAC companies, plumbing companies and construction companies in maintaining my home over the years, that have tried to nickel and dime me at every turn. I have never had such a pleasant, painless, honest and cooperative interaction with an outside company as I did with Herts. I met Jennifer and she explained what happened to me and how we can still hold State Farm accountable for my roof. She reopened my case and had me work with Jimmy who made State Farm come back out and they reversed the claim and approved me for a new roof. they originally gave me 2k for the roof then turned around and approved over 12k.
