I was lucky enough to have Jaymz do a fade at the Bentleigh East barber by chance tonight. I searched for local open barber shops, just wanting a basic shave because I've been away. He was a fantastic bloke, and was immediately welcoming. Usually I struggle to make small talk, but we had a great chat and laugh, before I walked away with a fade that I'll be definitely returning for. I had really thirsty dry hair and a friend recommended a curly girl approved deep hydration mask by Silk Barbers. I’ve used three times over two weeks and my very curly hair is actually shining now and has heaps of bouncy movement. James was so helpful, making sure I had the right product, which has so many natural botanical ingredients, and also also threw in a massive sample of leave-in conditioner which smells lovely and I use to de-tangle my daughters hair between washes. If anyone is bald and looking for a good hair system thats 100% natural, Silk Barbers is the place to go to. I had one on before from another place that I wasn’t happy with and I was looking for a new place to go to and found this place. I just wish I found it earlier. Silk Barbers is the most cleanest place you’ll find and you won’t even feel like you’re at a barber shop because you won’t even find any hair around unlike other places you go and there’s hair everywhere on the floor and chairs. The place also smells so good all the time. And I just want to say one more thing and that Jaymz is such a nice guy that makes you feel so comfortable from day one. He doesn’t just cut your hair and you never hear from him again. He’ll keep in contact with you and always check up to see if everything is going well and whenever you have a question he’ll get back to you straight away and help you out. Less

I felt the need to come back and update my review, after visiting Silk for nearly a year. Traditionally I am not a person to splurge on myself but a trip here is the exception. The haircuts are always amazing and I can't recommend getting a shave to go along with it enough! It's a great way to just take a beat from the chaos of life and chill.
