Coach Mike helps my kids understand the importance of following instructions, physical aptitude, and building skill in a sport they enjoy. Coach Mike is extremely patient with some of the more stubborn kids like mine.

Artisan Grappling was a great place to practice combat arts. Mike and his team know exactly what they are doing. I felt confidant and comfortable coming to a new training environment.It was very easy to come through the Power Station and find the mat. I found it very clean. Dropped in for the New Years Day open mat. Great gym! It’s beautiful, the mats are really nice with plenty of room. Mostly nogi, but there were a few in pajamas. There were a bunch of ladies rolling and that’s generally a sign of a quality BJJ gym. They were super friendly and made me feel welcome. Will definitely be back!

Artisan is top class school and Professor Jake Nickoson is an excellent teacher. As a former wrestler it has been very beneficial for me to have a teacher teach me Jiu-Jitsu in terms of concepts and not just techniques independent of the theory behind them. Learning Jiu-Jitsu conceptually has really enabled me to make my Jiu-Jitsu my own expression of the art and allowed me to put to use all my wrestling experience.

Me and my boys have been going for a few weeks now, and this place is the real deal. Amazing BJJ classes that are perfect for all ages. I love that I can attend classes the same time as my boys, and everyone here is eager to help us grow and get better, even though we came in knowing nothing.

I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. Walking in I was the oldest, smallest, and had ZERO experience in any form of grappling/wrestling and I did not know one person in the class... not one time has any coach or student made me feel like I did not belong there, I have been welcomed in and had nothing but encouragement ... the one thing you will hear from everyone when you are new is " just keep coming back " .. Professor Jake and his coaches are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very patient ... but just as impressive to me is actually the other students ... full of support and encouragement , and honestly the best personalities of any group of women and men that I have ever been around , and that is all ages ... they treat each other as family ... recently they have started their Muay Thai and MMA classes ... Ive had the exact same experiences with this as I listed above .... coach Halsey brings so much knowledge and he is well prepared for each class, again he is coaching younger people who have aspirations of fighting in the octagon and give people like me the same instruction and encouragement .... all this makes you feel like you are a part of something so much bigger !!!.... they also have a kids program , all I can say if my daughters were young again this is what I wish they would be involved in ..... I believe they offer a 5 day free trial to their classes, so if its something you want to try you are out nothing to come check it out .... Its the one place I know of when you walk through that door race, sex, politics , weight , height, religion or anything else doesnt matter ... and if you have a ego just leave it at the door as well, because its not going to help you on the mat

You might get in shape, you could learn some combat skills, either way you will absolutely be a better person for having stepped on the mats. Jiu Jitsu saves lives!!

High level juijitsu school where you can still have fun. Friendly and welcoming environment in a great location inside another great gym. The coaches are very knowledgeable/experienced and always willing to help. The mats are clean. The students are humble. Huge emphasis on technique based approach to Juijitsu. I feel respected and that the students/coaches around me want me to succeed and that safety is important during training. Because of those things they have 5 stars from me. Jake Nickoson is a wizard. New school with a little old school mixed in. Enjoyers of the dark arts. Leglocks are allowed here. See ya there.

This school is ran by some of the best men I know. They are dedicated to the craft, and love sharing their knowledge. Professor Jake is a savant in jiu-jitsu. Atrisan has a very chill environment; but there will 100% be world champions produced out this gym.

Great place to train! It is clean, very friendly, and the coaches are very knowledgeable. My son, and I have trained under professor jake for several years and his knowledge of jiu jitsu is very extensive, so if you are looking for a great place to train, with some of the most amazing down to earth people then this is the place for you.
