After losing 50lbs my body was in shock and I was dealing with severe back pain. In my journey of weight loss, I initially looked at working out as a catalyst for faster weight loss. After meeting with Zach the first time, he quickly identified postural issues that have led to pain in my body, in addition to areas of weakness. Zach began to work with me to help lose weight, but also to gain muscle. It didn't take me long to realize that Zach isn't only a professional, but he is seriously gifted in seeing and understanding how peoples' bodies move and work to be able to help them the way that they need to be helped. For a total newbie to any sort of working out, he was able to help me understand the proper movements and form, and would sometimes blow my mind in telling me what I must be feeling based on the way I was moving and then helping me to correct it. The personal attention, and personal workout space is a huge plus, especially if you're shy when it comes to gyms. Now after about 10 weeks, I've built a ton of muscle and have lost a lot of fat. (down 125lbs since January) My arms, shoulders and back are getting toned and my core is getting stronger. My back pain is minimal and usually feels better after a good workout. I've learned to love the gym. I've learned to love pushing myself. And I've learned the huge value of having an awesome personal trainer. Zach is professional, gifted and personal. He asks questions to understand what my goals are and provides a variety of helpful exercises and nutritional information to improve health. He listens carefully and provides effective motivation with detailed instruction. I feel stronger, more energetic and happier after each half-hour session. The variety of exercises he choses are not too difficult or strenuous but effective in building strength and endurance quickly. Now I can play tennis, vacuum, climb stairs, wash dishes, etc. with more ease than before because of increased muscles. I lost over twenty pounds and lowered my blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Tennis is my favorite sport, and the exercises Zach chose helped to improve my game and movement on the court. He is an excellent listener and has creative solutions to encourage me while staying safely within my ability level. He offers many helpful suggestions on how to eat healthy. The reason I say that is because I unfortunately struggle with various auto immune illnesses, that impair my ability to lose weight, build muscle, etc. I was desperate to find someone who understood my needs and lacked confidence. All I wanted in a trainer was someone who took the time to understand my goals and body and apply them to a specific training program that would work for me! I definitely found that in Zach and have been so grateful that I was referred to his practice. Zach cares about you as a person and takes a holistic approach to his training. He works with me directly on things he know set me back and enthusiastically celebrates your PRs and milestones too! He is very open about how you are progressing and checking in with how you are doing, which is important to me because although I may not see physical differences all the time, I know I am progressing and improving my abilities.
