Been my go to for the last 1.5 years and have always been happy with the haircut from numerous different staff members. Most recent cut from the girl with the clear frame glasses (sorry, didn't ask for your name). They also open for a short time on Sundays now so it's great for those that can't make it on Saturdays.

It’s always a laugh and a great vibe! Rob gives a fantastic wig chop and can’t recommend him enough. He always does an awesome job and it feels super welcoming every time I’m there. I love that it’s a walk-in venue as it means you can always squeeze in for a cut last minute.

5 min haircut from the girl with long red hair. This was THE quickest haircut that I've ever had. She charged me $40 which is the most expensive haircut available on their list. My haircut is average at best. She said that she'd blow dry my hair and blend it which she didn't do. Go elsewhere for much better customer service and a decent haircut.

Been here 5 or so times now and each time the cut is on point and the team here are always good for a chat. Recommended if you want a quality hair cut with friendly service. The shop is walk in so recommend bringing something to keep you entertained if you come on a Saturday, but has never taken me longer than 20 mins to get in.

These legends have been my barbers for the past 4 years. I haven't gone anywhere else simply because it doesn't matter who cuts your hair there, they are all very skilled at what they do.

They were quite long but before I could really explain, he cut me off (another pun!) to say "When you say that, I'm going to take it to a 0 and shave it all off". Like what? Sorry I'm not an expert barber, obviously I don't mean "shave my head". I wanted to leave as soon as he put on the cape, and the feeling didn't go away. I was just far too awkward and embarrassed to walk out. I felt very unwanted, like I wasn't supposed to be there. I paid cash. $38. I gave him $58. Rudely, "Well, how much change is that?!". Great post COVID haircut - they have taken a number of steps including a good few meters between clients (including the upstairs) to reduce the risk. Have been coming for a couple of years and enjoy the relaxed feel to the place.

Recently moved to the area and needed a good barber. Took a chance on this place and it really paid off! Was looked after by barber James who was very knowledgeable. Even offered me a beer, though I didn't take it. Got a fade down to zero on the sides, perfect fade, and will be coming back. 👍

Been going to Knucklehead for over 2 years now. Shoutout to Nakeia for knowing what I want every time and sorting out my DIY COVID haircut!

Have been coming here for quite a while, even after moving a few suburbs away. Drove over half an hour to get there and got turned away even though they were open for another 45 minutes. Won't be coming back here again.

Taylor was very skilled and professional. I am very happy with my haircut. She understood quickly what I was after and executed seamlessly. Highly recommended. The only bémol is that it is quite popular already and they do not take appointments so there is some wait involved possibly outside on the footpath.

Fantastic service, friendly and experienced staff and incredibly affordable. I've personally visited many of melbourne barbershops and have to give Knucklehead the gold medal. Each visit, the staff have gone above and beyond my expectations as well as had the perfect amount of chit chat. Great atmosphere, always clean and even when it's full the wait times are minimal. Can happily recommend.

I used to come here until one Sunday, 1:30 PM was turned away, not very politely I might add, as “they were done for the day”. As per their website, they close at 2:00 PM. Suggest changing your opening hours then, if the staff can’t be bothered to do their full shift. You’ve lost a customer.

Too many transient backpacker barbers which is annoying. Not had a bad cut there though.

Went to the Kew location. In my opinion , no hair cut is worth 38 dollars, regardless of the skill and attention. lower the price.

Was looking for a new barber in the area when I came across Nakeia at knucklehead. She did an excellent job with my fade and beard trim. I walked out feeling fresh and would recommend their services.

Went for a haircut and beard trim. The woman there obviously doesn't know how to cut mens hair, or trim a beard. If you do want a beard trim and edges, you have to wait for one of the other barbers. And that could be hours. Would be great if she knew what she was doing.

Well at first the $38 hair cut price scared me. So, I went to a couple of other places, and yeah... I am now a regular client. Staff is attentive, willing to listen what you want, and prepared to make changes if you are not happy with final result. You can have a steam ale mountain goat while they do the grooming. The only reason for not giving then 5 stars is the price.
