The Fit Family Tree

I've previously done CrossFit and also followed my own program but Janis's method is by far superior to both. With an emphasis on injury prevention and employing the philosophy "fit for life", any previous 'niggles' have disappeared.Other group-based classes always seem to have athletes using wrist/ankle/knee/elbow/back supports due to constant overloading and an unhealthy pursuit of PBs, but the classes that Janis and Laura put on simply have their clients getting fitter and when it comes to lifting, the weights are appropriate such that bodies are not vulnerable.Of course, we are pushed to get the most out of ourselves and to lift heavy weights, but only on the condition that the demonstrated form is very good, and the risk of injury is very low. There is also a strong cardio component mixing both aerobic and anaerobic capacities, which adds an element of competition for those who enjoy that. Each session always provide a great workout, with a load rotation and balance such that training every day of the week is possible. Training injuries are non existent here. At the time of writing I've been going here for 8 months and I am now more mobile, flexible, powerful, strong and lean than I have ever been. The community too is great, and there are often weekend hikes/bike rides/volleyball games.
