This crew did an amazing job! They arrived early, were polite, friendly and professional. They did a great job of wrapping all of furniture and artwork. They had boxes for the TV and other items that we hadn't packed already. The company did a great job of estimating the cost and time needed for the move. Other companies quoted us with unrealistic timelines and didn't give prices for the materials they would have to provide during our move (boxes, etc). Chris and the 4 man local crew at the destination unloaded quickly and efficiently. A second stop at our storage unit was made. Federal may not be the cheapest but they are defintely the best motorcycle transport company. Their use of enclosed trailers and pallets is a huge benefit; the bike stays tied down on its pallet and is moved by forklifts when needed, eliminating risk of damage. If you value your bike, Federal is the only choice. Less

My dad and I were nine days into a 16-day motorcycle tour across the country when he had a heart attack. We spent the next several days at the University of Connecticut Medical Center. It was clear we wouldn't be able to finish the tour. The priority was getting my dad safely back home. I now also had two motorcycles almost 3000 miles from Utah where we live. I had spent an entire day trying to track down, purchase, or rent a motorcycle trailer for two bikes and something to pull it with. However, in rural Connecticut, my options were limited. I was eventually referred by Danbury Harley Davidson to Judy at Federal Motorcycle Transport. Judy patiently listened as I shared my situation with her. She demonstrated empathy and kindness when the stress of the situation caused me to get emotional during the call, and when she asked if she and her colleague could pray for my dad... her prayers were felt. I spent hours searching for a solution, and then I found Judy. Judy took care of everything. I had made arrangements to leave our bikes at Danbury Harley Davidson so I could fly back to Utah with my dad once he was released from the hospital. Judy took over from there. She made sure the bikes were picked up and kept me posted with daily updates, letting me know where our bikes were at the end of each day until they were safely returned to us. Stranded on the East Coast, running out of options, and concerned for my dad in the hospital - Judy's kindness that day left a lasting impression on me. I hope to never be in a situation like this again. However, I would 100% use Federal Motorcycle Transport again, and ask for Judy. Less

Service was great! They got my Harley from Central California to Southern Maine in 8 days, safe and sound! Be aware that pickup may only be 1 day of the week, and that you'll have to set aside 2 days (for example: I had to agree to set aside 2 consecutive Thursdays, and they ended up coming on the second one). Basically, plan this ahead, and know that pickup may not be on the day you want. Other than that, follow the instructions, and they'll do all the loading and unloading. Highly recommended! Less

Had an interstate move from Chicago to central Indiana through Allied Van Lines/Federal Whalen over the course of 2 days. Quote was easy and simple through video call to assess size of move. Move coordinator followed up appropriately and timely. Movers came on time, were great communicators, and were great with taking good care of our belongings. Initial agent who made the quote and answered our questions stated truck with our belongings would be parked in secured Federal owned facility which was one of the reasons I decided to go with Federal/Allied. Come day of move, driver stated truck would be parked in hotel overnight and NOT in secured warehouse. At the end of the day, our items arrived on time and in good condition so overall I would still use the again for a future move but I would ask my questions with every person they involve in my move just to clarify information/expectations. Unfortunately, I hired a less than reputable provider (Safeway Moving) because their initial quote was several thousand dollars less expensive. I have since learned that they are a ‘broker’. They required a substantial advance fee to book the date. My final out of pocket expense was more than Federal quoted. My belongings were moved from truck to truck at least twice. I purchased a motorcycle on a government auction website. This was my first time shipping a bike. Judy is great. I’m sure they are busy but I felt like her only customer. I had the bike shipped to a transfer depot in Nashville. It was very inexpensive. Bike was loaded and strapped securely to a pallet. Delivery paperwork was very thorough. Everything was smooth. They also offer a discount for military and first responders. I will use them again in a heartbeat. Less
