I was having issues with consistency with my irons. I wasn't sure what to do I’ve taken lessons before and watched at home videos. I took a lesson at Golf Guru and learned I was using to much hips and not enough upper body rotation. I worked with Austin for 45 minutes and increased speed by 7-8 mph, carry distance by 20-30 yards and was hitting the ball more accurate. Less

I'm so satisfied with my lesson!!! The following day I had time to go over what I learned. I played at las sendas. Man I played great for a tough course. I felt so confident in my stance and in every shot. I hit shots I did not know I was capable of. I'm so glad I got the membership!! Can't wait to get better! Thank you Austin , you are GREAT at what you do! Less

I decided to try Golf Guru because my friend’s instructor was fully booked, and Golf Guru had lessons available the same week. However, after just three lessons, I started experiencing severe shoulder blade pain. I could not exercise for two weeks. When I mentioned it to the instructor, he casually brushed it off, claiming he’d never seen this issue before in anyone he’s taught. Funny, because a quick internet search shows that shoulder pain is a pretty common problem in golf. That was the first red flag – how could a “golf expert” not be aware of this? By the final lesson of the month, I was still in pain, but I stayed quiet and polite, finished the session, and knew it would be my last. I texted them and canceled my membership later that day, only to be blindsided by a $500 charge for the following month membership. Apparently, I was supposed to cancel at least seven days in advance—something I was never informed of. Their initial excuse? "It’s on our website, so you should have seen it." Really? If I had known about that policy, I would’ve canceled way earlier. I didn't sign any contract, yet they refused to refund me, insisting that they had told me in person when I paid. However, I only recalled them mentioning they’d send a reminder before the next billing, which I waited for but never received. To make matters worse, I was only getting four brief lessons a month, each lasting just 30-45 minutes. Every session was indoors at their facility, which only opens when classes are scheduled. If you arrive early, you’re stuck waiting outside until someone unlocks the door. While the instructors themselves weren’t bad, the customer service was a complete disaster. It’s as if they have no idea how to run a business. Their obsession with getting that $500 felt downright desperate, like they were more concerned about squeezing every penny out of the client rather than delivering a good experience. The most absurd part? They told me they’ll start including the cancellation policy in future contracts—so they can continue charging clients for an extra month, even if they no longer need the lessons. It’s unclear what happens if you’re sick or on vacation, but it’s quite the money-making scheme, don’t you think? While losing $500 isn’t a huge deal for me, I wanted to share my experience so others can avoid what I went through. I certainly wouldn’t recommend Golf Guru to anyone. But if you do decide to give them a try, make sure you’re fully aware of their cancellation policy from the start. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The business owner's response made me furious. I swear on my life, and I would die if I’m lying, that I had no knowledge of a 7-day cancellation policy or any required cancellation form. You keep insisting there wasn’t enough time to stop the payment, but does your system prevent you from issuing a refund? What if I had been in a car accident, in a coma for a year, and unable to walk— would you still charge me $6,000 just because I couldn’t cancel in time? As for my shoulder, I only told the instructor it was feeling better to avoid making them feel bad. I was being polite, nice and respectful during each lesson. Now you're using that against me, claiming my shoulder is fine, as if I’m lying. That’s completely unfair and misleading. If my shoulder was perfectly fine, and your instructors were so great, why would I want to cancel in the first place? Additionally, I arrived 2-3 minutes late on purpose to each lesson just to avoid waiting outside. At my first lesson, I arrived early and had to wait 20 minutes in 105-degree heat because the door was locked and your instructor was late. Despite that, each lesson has only lasted between 30 and 45 minutes. I’ve never been treated like this by anyone in my life, and I’m extremely frustrated by how you've handled this situation and your attitude throughout the process. Less

I can't say enough good things about Golf Guru. In just two years, their exceptional coaching has brought my handicap from 20 down to an impressive 4.9. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated, tailoring their teaching methods to suit individual needs. Their simplistic approach, focusing on the technical, mental, and physical aspects of the game, has been crucial to my development. The video analysis sessions were particularly beneficial, allowing me to make precise adjustments. The state-of-the-art facility with multiple trackman's and supportive environment further enhance the learning experience. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced golfer, Golf Guru is the place to achieve remarkable improvement. Less

Austin and the crew have been very helpful in not only helping me fix my swing, but also helping understand more of the mental side of golf and have helped me get a better understanding of situations I find myself in on the course. Between being properly fit for a driver and the lessons I’ve taken in just a couple months I have already seen major changes on the scorecard and am very happy with my results. Less

Coming in as a newer golfer with terrible habits, I knew I needed to learn in an environment with immediate video and data feedback. My goal Coming in wasn’t to reach a certain handicap, but to get a consistent repeatable swing. I have gone to lessons with other instructors in the past, but felt the feedback I got was based on best guesses, not video and data. Getting to watch my swing, body position, and club face contact immediately after doing it makes a huge difference, and let me know for certain where my errors were. Without that, it’s just guessing. Both Austin and Keith have the patience needed to overcome my habits, but also do a great job of not letting me slide after making mistakes. After 2 months of consistent lessons, it’s amazing how much better my swing is in terms of accuracy and distance. I can also take their teaching and apply it when I’m on my own now. I highly recommend Golf Guru Less

I’ve been golfing for a long time, with mixed results depending upon the day. Yes, consistency has been a real problem for me, and I didn’t know why. With Austin‘s guidance and suggestions, I’ve gained a lot better understanding of what I need to change to play better more often. His instruction has been patient, positive, and insightful. I highly recommend anybody that can identify with the frustrations of this game, and not knowing how to overcome them, to go see Austin at Golf Guru. Less
