I've used Watertight Homes twice now and on both occasions have been very pleased with their work. They went the extra mile to deal with a problem of my making and were always polite, conscientious and hard working. I will certainly use them again if needed and would wholeheartedly recommend them.

We had Watertight do some damp work and replace our brickties.I would highly recommend them for both, especially brickties as they gave a much better quote compared to others. It’s very difficult to have a reasonable conversation with someone that clearly does not make any sense nor were you willing to help at any point, so don’t try saying you were. You state it’s hard to remember jobs from years ago well you remember me very well and as I stated the paper form guarantee was not asked for 2yrs prior to the installation. Customer service is a appalling so please please anyone reading this go elsewhere, do your research before giving it to Watertight Homes. I rest my case. I reached out to Wateritght in 2015 to complete a damp proofing course at my home. I was charged £4200, which included the optional guarantee of which I paid for. I became concerned with the quality of work, when only 2 years later I rediscovered damp. I called them to explain the apparent problems and they came out to rectified free of charge (under guarantee!!!)no questions asked. In 2022, I decided to put my house on the market, I accepted a buyers offer on my house and a structural/damp proof survey was done on the property, once again rising damp was discovered throughout the whole of the downstairs living areas not by 1 but 3 different structural building and timber certified companies at cost to myself I called Watertight and explained my circumstances and I was told I had to produce the guarantee certificate paper form before they would visit this was not needed on the first repair. I am 100% certain it was never sent, I didn't think it would be a significant issue as he never asked for it the first time to rectify the issue, I knew Matthew was familar with me and I still had the invoice showing the inclusion of a guarantee, I also had a bank statement showing the invoice was paid including the extra guarantee amount. I sent the two items across to Watertight and received a response which restated their refusal to visit without proof of a guarantee certificate. I rang Matthew and exprerssed my dissapointment with the response, he kept reitaerting how he WAS aware I paid for the guarantee but could not visit until I produced the guarantee certificate first. I couldn't understand his thinking, the certificate seems so insignifcant when I am able to produce the invioice showing the inclusion of a guarantee as well as proof of payment of that invoice. I made it clear that I don't think he actually ever sent the guarantee, but he maintained that he had, honestly I'm 100% sure he never did. Regardless Matthew Milner of Watertight Homes is not the best at his job, nor is he the best in customer service. Due to Matthews lack of help and assistance to resolve the matter I had to significantly reduce the price of my property for the sale to go ahead. So my advice would be not to go with Watertight Homes under any circumstances Watertight have caused nothing but headaches, stay well clear. Less

Absolute shambles of a company. Mathew has a superiority complex that his company does not live upto. Numerous visits and almost £3000 later I still have damp issues. Finally resolved by another company who found the issue to be a leaking drain as the cause. Avoid

Complete chancer. Came around to do a dry rot survey. I showed him the source of the dry rot, wasn’t even going to look inside the house, said clean the area and wait 3 months then attempted to charge me £120 cash. Been there less than 5 mins. Don’t waste your time.

These guys were very thorough in their investigation of the issues and produced an excellent clear report explaining what needed to be done any more importantly why. They also priced each individual recommendation separately which was very helpful. When the work was undertaken, they again were very professional, did an excellent job and cleaned up very well. Highly recommended.

Falsely claiming to be a Which? trusted trader. Contacted Which? and this was confirmed directly by them (see screenshot attached). Which? confirmed that Watertight are even using a fake certificate on their website. Avoid.

He wanted me to be entirely happy and sent his team back within 2 days to replaster the whole arch at no extra cost. Watertight homes have a good reputation and so all their workmen seem to be aware of this and so make a special effort to help keep everything tidy and clean down at the end of each day. Rang the company today to see if they could call around to price up a damp issue. I was told that they are very busy and could not call around! I wouldn't of minded if they said we can cost up the work but couldn't do the work for a few months but to not even be bothered to call out to my house which is in Leeds is very disappointing.

Brought current house in April 2016 - new it had some damp in the cellar but not until we moved in did we discover how bad it was. Matthew (proprietor) came round and undertook a survey and talked through our options. What I liked best was that he immediately recognised that what we wanted was a dry space for "rough storage" (i.e. not living space) so offered a service based on that rather than pushing a full drainage and pump solution. What we got was an waterproof eggbox on the walls allowing water to trickle to the floor then spread out over the floor to evaporate. In addition the ventilation has been increased. I cannot rate the guys who did the work high enough - in particular the way they cleared up after. Work was done mid July 2016 and appears to be working very well at current time. Less
