I had a warranty from the previous owners of my house, and World Foundation Repair respected it and lifted a couple of the piers that had sunk. One of the repairmen even readjusted my door latch that had become skewed from the shifting.

Enrique was very helpful in solving a problem we were having with the closet door after 6 months of having had foundation work. Lucy works the front office and saw that we were sent the right person for the job.

The home is now seeing significant movement. WFR agrees that the piers need adjustments. They refuse to honor our warranty agreement with them and, instead, require that we sign a new agreement with added stipulations and exclusion that we do not agree with. They require that we sign the new agreement prior to any repair work. We have asked to speak with the owner, Enrique Vazquez, since before Thanksgiving in hopes to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, they refuse to speak with us, text us, or email us. We hope that this complaint will begin a conversation to resolve this issue. March 2021: World Foundation Repair performed foundation work on the house. WFR placed 18 piers under the house. August 2022: We purchased the house and completed the warranty transfer with WFR. This included a payment of $300 to complete the warranty transfer to us. September 2023: Movement was noted in the home where they had placed the piers. We reached out to WFR to schedule an inspection. October 2023: World Foundation Repair inspected their work and agreed that the piers previously installed would need adjusting. They had planned to open the piers and check pressures, raising it as necessary. This would fall under our warranty agreement. Due to weather and scheduling conflicts, repair work was delayed several times through November. November 2023: The job was finally scheduled for 11/17. We were excited to have this completed. On 11/17, they again canceled and rescheduled for 11/18. On 11/17, they also send us a new warranty form and require that we sign it before they can begin work. They added new stipulations, with additional criteria that could void the warranty. This caught us by surprise and is also frustrating because they backed out of the job they agreed to do initially and added new requirements. We did not agree to sign the new and different warranty agreement. We’ve asked them to perform the warranty work based on our initial agreement. World Foundation Repair has refused. World Foundation Repair did state that they will not perform the work until we sign the new warranty agreement. They are, unfortunately, blackmailing us to sign a new and different warranty. We believe that this is unethical. An original agreement had been made and World Foundation Repair refuses to honor it. Since November 17th, I have reached out multiple times to World Foundation Repair and also asked to talk to the owner in hopes to resolve the situation. Lucy was previously a liaison, but now she has not responded to my phone calls or texts. Nobody is responding to my emails. Otherwise, Enrique Vasquez, owner of World Foundation Repair, has not reached out to me. At this point, World Foundation Repair is not honoring their agreement, ignoring us and placing our home at risk for more damage. World Foundation Repair should do the right and ethical thing. Updates: 12/5 - I have tried to call today and it goes directly to voicemail. Please contact me. 12/8 - we have called since 12/5 but it continues to voicemail. We have emailed. Please call me to resolve. 12/13 - I believe that my number is blocked. I have tried to call but it goes directly to voicemail. They are not responding to my texts. Very nice experience. Few small issues, easily resolved. A pipe burst and they addressed it quickly. All mess was picked up and the yard looked even better than before. Only thing is a small issue with language barrier on site, but help was a phonecall away. They even had a referral bonus which my sister was very pleased with. I do recommend World Foundation. I honestly hate having to write a review in hopes that we might be able to effectively communicate with who we assume is the owner, Enrique. We asked for a quote a couple of years ago because we had no idea what to expect on the financial side of having our foundation repaired. Upon scheduling the appointment, Enrique was exceptionally responsive, polite, and professional. Understandably, due to our location, we were charged $75 for the home visit but was told that it would be credited back to us if we ended up hiring them for the job. Enrique was extremely knowledgeable and just as our initial contact, professional. After the quote, I informed him that we would need some time to save up and we would let him know when we were ready. We had a few other contractors come out to get estimates. Most of the estimates were pretty similar, we were not overly enthusiastic about the demeanor and lack of professionalism of these other representatives, so we decided to go with Enrique. We began saving but then COVID hit and we were laid of and had to use up our savings. We took lower paying jobs and took a little longer to save. When we were finally ready to hire Enrique, we knew there was a chance the quote would be a bit higher due to the costs of materials, so we asked for a new estimate. All of a sudden, my husband and my attempt to communicate with Enrique was being rerouted to a woman named Lucy. The first time I spoke with Lucy, I recalled our previous quote and explained that I assume it has changed. She advised me of another $75 travel fee (understandable) and said "if you're serious this time, we will credit you this fee and the previous one to the job." We certainly wouldn't be calling a company who we have to pay to come to our house when everyone within our area doesn't require a fee and we wouldn't attempt to hire them two years after our initial appointment, if we were not serious. After I expressed this to her, she corrected herself and scheduled an appointment. The day before our appointment, they had to reschedule, which was no biggie, acheduling with them was an easy process. The day before the newly rescheduled day, I became ill. Since I wasn't overly sure of what I was sick with, we cancelled and my husband explained that we would reschedule when I was better. Between the illness spreading through multiple members of the house and a death in the family, it took us approximately 2-3 months to reschedule. Recently, my husband's attempts to reschedule has been very difficult. Initially, he called to reschedule and wanted to speak with Enrique regarding the potential variation in price per pier and labor rates, so that we could ensure we were not totally caught off guard by any significant increases. Lucy advised that the new travel fee would no longer be $75 but now $200!!! In two months, the fee more than doubled. We understand that fuel charges go up and we are quite a ways from San Antonio, so we respect that his fee had to go up. That said, she has made many efforts to prevent my husband from being able to speak with Enrique and when my husband expressed his concerns about spending $200, ultimately losing $275, should they come out here and the prices have dramatically increased to something that we aren't prepared for, that he would rather speak with Enrique before scheduling, she text him back and said "that's not done over the phone." It's been almost a week. They went from a quick response time, to Lucy completely blocking our ability to move forward with scheduling an appointment. I gave 3-stars because we had an extremely great experience with Enrique and after looking through reviews and by his knowledge and professionalism, we want to hire him. I only gave three because it seems as though since Lucy has become the primary point of contact, our overall experience has been frustrating and exceptionally turned off by her treatment. The staff and team at World Foundation Repair were great to work with. The team was professional, kept the site clean and kept me update to date on all progress even from my remote location. They had full access to my property and treated it as if it was one of their own. As with any project, unforeseen conditions will arise, and they too were managed well. Highly recommend.

All in all, dealing with world foundation repair was excellent. No one wants to hear they need foundation repairs, but this company made it a lot less stressful. Fast forward 2 years and the main crack on my ceiling that was barely visible was now about an inch wide. I did my research and read a lot of reviews on companies in and around San Antonio who do foundation repairs. I read horror stories about jobs that took too long to complete, jobs where workers were never present, jobs where workers were disrespectful and jobs where the repairs were done poorly. After a couple of quotes and a lot of thought, I decided to give World Foundation Repair the opportunity to do the repairs on my foundation. It was the best decision I could have made. Mr. Enrique Vasquez (the owner) and Anthony, the go to person for any questions that I might have before, during or after the repair, arrived at the time that we agreed upon for their inspection. After about 30 minutes, they gave me a quote right there and then. They said that I only needed repairs to the front half of my home, that the back of my home was within the industry standard. I was glad to hear this, I read where some companies quote for repairs that aren't needed. Not only was this good news but the quote was a lot less than what I expected. It was a fair estimate. They explained the process to me in a way that I could understand and also answered any questions that I had. After agreeing on my terms, I was very pleased with the outcome of our meeting. On the first day that they were to begin, Anthony showed up and introduced me to the person in charge of the crew that was going to do the repair, Oscar. I was very happy and pleased with all workers that were present at my home doing the repairs, they were professional and polite. Oscar was always at the site and answered any questions that I had during the repair process. Enrique and Anthony said that the repair would take about 5 days to complete but it took them 9 days. We did have a couple of days that it rained really hard overnight and I did voice my displeasure that I had to rent a U-haul to hold most of the things that I had in my garage and that those 4 extra days cost me. Enrique decided to reimburse me for the extra 4 days of U-haul rental. What company does that? World Foundation Repair does. It's very rare that you find customer service like that nowadays!!! That right there is another reason why I highly recommend World Foundation Repair to anyone who is in need of foundation repair. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely satisfied with their work. The 1-inch crack on my ceiling is no longer there, it is completely closed and all cracks are barely visible. We needed a lot of wood removed from the crawlspace, metal shims installed on most of the piers, a few joist replacements, and some sub-floor reinforcement. They had the job done in one day. I was relocating from California and was looking to purchase a home built in 1925. Pier and beam foundation was foreign to me and my agent suggested having a structural engineer assess the integrity of the foundation for peace of mind. Having a completed report with pictures and recommended actions, I thought it would be easy to email various foundation companies to get a quote for repairs. Only 2 were willing to give a quote after receiving the report. How can it be this difficult to get a quote when the engineers report spelled out that I needed 3 concrete posts? Enter world foundation repair; Not only did they give me a quote over the phone after reading the report, they were willing to work with the timing of when I would acquire the home. After I acquired my keys, they met me two days later to survey the property. The price they quoted did not change and I felt an immediate comfort with Enrique and World Foundation. In fact, I asked them to bid a french drain around my detached garage. The bid was very competitive and they indicated that they could tackle after completing the foundation work. I was happy to give them the additional work and very pleased with how fast they were able to complete both projects. My mother was washing dishes while a concrete pier was being set and they noticed a large hole in the drainage plumbing. My home inspector had noted previous dry rot that had been addressed at that spot, but had written up that the area causing the leak had been remediated. Based on the fact that the worn hole was the size of a 50 cent piece, it was a complete miss on the inspectors part. Enrique aprised me of the situation and asked if I wanted to send a plumber of my choosing to repair. He also advised that his people could run and get the part and perform the repairs. You can tell Enrique and his crew take pride in their work and are very conscientious about not performing anything above and beyond the contract terms without prior owner approval. Once the crew started working, they were able to complete both jobs in under a week. There were constant check ins to describe progress and to set timelines and expectations.
