I had my hair cut by Robin for the first time last week, and I can honestly say she is one of the best stylists I’ve ever encountered and I’ve had my hair cut in New York, LA, Singapore, and Paris. Classy and personable hair salon. Robin's master expertise, care, and innovation permeates the unique and warm atmosphere, making everyone feel welcome and heard. I LOVE getting my hair cut and Robin does an amazing job! Her technique is flawless and my hair looks great for months! They even have gifts for sale (check out the magnificent card selection) and a beautiful all-season courtyard in the back. Highly recommend!

Robin and Robert Cartier are two of the most outstanding hair stylists, they do an amazing job at haircuts and hair color, and I’ve been coming to them for over 20 years! People stop me on the street and ask me where I’ve got my haircut! These two and their amazing staff need to be checked out, I highly recommend Salon Cartier in Walnut Creek, you can’t go wrong. They stay up-to-date on all hair products and the latest trends, they have a fun and engaging team, I’m so happy when I walk through the door and even happier when I walk out!

I've been going to Salon Cartier more than 10 years (15??--it's been a while). It's always been the best experience and I look forward to it every time. It goes without saying, Robin and her crew do an amazing job on my hair, but they also make it feel like the most welcoming and friendly environment, almost like hanging out with friends who happen to be extremely serious about making you look good.I had pretty long hair when I started going there--and I used to think long hair was kind of self-sustaining and didn't require much attention, but I was amazed at how much they were able to do with it to really make me look great--more rock-and-roll and less barbarian hippie (which is where I think I was at when I started with them). Eventually my hair got a bit thin and my hairline was giving me trouble, and I decided to go with a shorter look, that I've stuck with now for years, and it's a great look that downplays any struggles I've had with my quality and quantity of hair. They also do an amazing job on the color--it looks totally natural, though they can make your gray hair look awesome, too, if you decide to go that route.Anyway, Salon Cartier is highly recommended by me--some men feel weird about going to a premium salon, but you'll feel right at home and it's totally worth it.

Alyssa cut my very thick and curly hair. This was her 2nd time cutting my hair and she did a great job both times! I wanted some fresh layers and shorter for summer and she hit the mark. I also wanted a lot of layers to take weight off my hair. I love my new fun and fresh layers. She's never cut off too much in the two times I've sat in her chair. I've had many many hair cuts with "curly hair specialist" and she did just as wonderful as them. I highly recommend her.

I've been seeing Robin for over four years and I keep coming back because I trust her absolutely. She gives me the best advice on what looks good on me and no matter what style we choose, the cut is always superb. I've had some significant health issues in the last two years that have affected my hair and Robin really worked with me to help me find styles I could manage and feel good about how I looked, That may sound like a small thing but it isn't and it meant the world to me. Everyone in the salon is friendly and the space is both beautiful and comfortable. Robin is a real treasure and I can't recommend her and Salon Cartier highly enough.

I got my bangs trimmed by Maria and haircut by Emma. Both the times the experience was wonderful. The hairstylists are very talented and professional and give you exactly the type of cut you are looking for. The owners are lovely people and really putting their heart in their work. I highly recommend this locally owned salon. Their prices are very reasonable too.
