Attractive property let down by the fact they scattered ant powder all along the frontage. Ant powder generally contains talc which is often contaminated with asbestos. Not something you want when trying to enjoy a holiday break. Ants are much preferable to breathing in asbestos.

A wonderful place to stay in York. So close to York Minster and within walking distance to all the attractions in York. Excellent breakfast too. I can’t recommend the Georgian House and Mews highly enough. I am from Cape Town and this is my second time staying at this well-run hotel. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place, walking distance from major attractions, including the Minster. Had a room in the back - very quiet, very clean. Staff was very friendly and allowed me to check in a bit earlier and to leave my luggage after checkout next day. Highly recommend.

Great location - easy walk to all of the sights.Room was a little dated, but very clean and nice! It was also very quiet, which was appreciated. We also used the laundry service, which was great!

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Georgian mews. From the time of check in Allen was wonderful and could not do enough for us. Everything went smooth, the rooms were remarkably clean and well equipped. The staff in the dining room were very organised and never to much trouble to swap and change if needed on the breakfast menu. It all met our expectations and more plus Allen did something g special for my husband. The guest house is a 2 minute walk from the main town and a 10 minute walk from the train station. Fantastic location everything within a 5 minute walk. Great little room with all mod cons situated at the back of the main building. Would recommend and stay here again

We stayed for one night. The room was clean and very close to the city centre. They had also left wine, coffee and milk in the room for us, which was a lovely touch. The room was quiet and peaceful. There is a small car park, which we used for free. Thank you very much for everything.

Very nice place. It was clean, and complimentary drinks and toiletries were left for us. It is only a 5 minute walk to the Minster so ideally located. Would highly recommend.

Just had a three day stay at this wonderful hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel staff are very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent - all prepared to order. The hotel is perfectly positioned for enjoying everything that York has to offer. Just a few minutes walk from the Minster and from the National Railway Museum. It's also only a ten minute walk to the station. We had a lovely stay and would happily stay again.

Lovely hotel, service and staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for central York. Only thing I would say that wasn’t a massive issue but the shower could have been hotter.
