Some items were water logged so it makes it more expensive to dispose of due to weight but still price seemed high. They swept up after. They did not call before arriving. They just showed up. I asked for the cost for 1 couch 1 sofa. They agreed to cost, but once they loaded the furniture he was upset and very rude wanted a different amount.They did not speak English and it made it difficult to communicate. Very unfortunate.

I contacted Junk Guys to pick up a old bedroom set I couldn't find any place to donate to in preparation for new furniture being delivered later the same day. I was given a 2 hr window time frame 12pm-2pm. I received an email and text the night before confirming the 2 hr time block. I planned my day and priorities in order to be available during those hrs. The day of i received a call around 10am, 2 hrs prior to my scheduled time block telling me they were in my area due to a previous pick up finishing early and they wanted to come right then. I informed the guy I wasnt at home and would be there during the 2hr time block i was given. I was told they would have to reschedule because they couldn't wait around for me as if it was my fault they finished early. He said he could give me a quote over the phone based off what they were picking up. He quoted me $400-$500 dollars for a bedframe, nightstand and dresser. Super unprofessional, rude and very inconsiderate of my time. If you make an appointment time you are expected to meet that appointment not blame the customer. I would not recommend this service. They need better training in customer service. Less

Called Junk Guys Sacramento. Told them I had lots of good stuff in my deceased mother-in-law's storage. I wanted to make sure that the stuff was donated to an appropriate site. I was assured over the phone that the items they pick up are donated, and only stuff that was not worth donating went to the landfill. Was quoted $695 for a full truck load. I thought it was a bit high, but I said OK. When Caleb and his assistant showed up, there was junk in the truck already, so he offered a $20 discount. I talked him down to $650 for the load. He agreed. I was just happy that the stuff would be going to someone who could use it. There were 3 or 4 shelving units. It made sense that they would be broken up, (easily done in 5 seconds flat, just threw them on the ground). They were cheap presswood. But then Caleb informed me that if they break stuff down, the price would go up because he can get more on the truck, and it would cost more at the dump. I had no choice but to agree to the new $690 price. But the worst part. He tells me that the WHOLE LOAD would be going to the dump. I had spent hours sorting out the good stuff for donation, only to have it all go to the dump. I was angry and disappointed that the office had misrepresented the intentions of the haulers. I would have never used this service if I had known this was going to happen. I should have demanded they unload the truck, but I would not have been able to get everything back in the storage unit before closing time. I called the office to voice my concerns. I talked to Yvette, she said that she would talk to her boss about this, and I never heard back. They made their money, what do they care? I would never recommend this company to anyone. All those great items went to the landfill, many new items, in unopened boxes. Makes me sick to think about it. Thanks for nothing Junk Guys. Never use Junk Guys.
