Josh is incredibly chill, and what a setup they have in Stuart! The shallow water and lack of waves make it the perfect place to learn. I had previously taken several kite lessons on the beach in Jupiter, which I would discourage compared to the New Wave experience. Getting dragged through the water is much gentler than being pulled across the beach.Their gear is best-in-class, the pontoon boat is super convenient, and the electronic headsets are awesome.Mike

I had such a great experience with New Wave Kiteboarding. Josh was my instructor, and he made me feel completely safe and confident from the start. Before we even got in the water, they walked us through everything we needed to know so I felt fully prepared.They provided top-notch gear and radio headsets, which made communication on the water so easy and reassuring. I especially loved learning off the pontoon boat — it created such a relaxed environment and made the whole experience feel calm and controlled rather than overwhelming.If you’re thinking about trying kiteboarding, I couldn’t recommend them more. It was fun, professional, and incredibly well-run.

Top-notch kiteboarding lessons! Great location (nice constant winds, not gusty), great instruction by Josh (friendly, patient, explains things well) and great equipment (new kite, helmet with radios etc). Second time there. Coming back in two weeks.

I can’t say enough great things about New Wave Kiteboarding. Although I started out with the original owner, I’m really happy with the people who took it over. They are not only extremely knowledgeable about the sport, but also very helpful and encouraging.That support really matters because, of all the sports I’ve tried in my life, this has been the hardest—and also one of the most rewarding. There’s something to be said about pushing through the tough moments and sticking with it.For anyone thinking about taking a lesson here, I say go for it. Just know that it may take some time before everything clicks. The good news is you’ll have plenty of help and encouragement from these folks along the way.

We had an outstanding experience with Josh at New Wave Kiteboarding in Stuart, FL. Josh picked us up at Sandspirit Park on his pontoon boat and took us out for an incredible ride along the water. He came fully prepared with a great variety of kites, boards, wetsuits, and booties, making everything easy and stress-free for us.Josh’s knowledge of the local area is exceptional, and his patience, professionalism, and calm teaching style truly set him apart. He made us feel safe, supported, and confident while still keeping the experience fun and relaxed. Set up private lessons and paid a deposit about a month and a half before my trip and day of the lessons they call me 10 min before I show up and say the weather isn’t cooperating. I asked if it was possible to reschedule and they are booked. So now I’m down my deposit for the rest of my trip and can’t afford to set anything else up so thanks for that

First Class! Awesome kiteboarding class! The instructor was patient, knowledgeable, and made everything feel safe and fun. I learned a lot in a short time and felt confident on the water. Highly recommend to anyone staring out that would like to build solid kitesurfing skills.

Went out over the weekend with Justin as an independent rider. We went to the Stuart Sandbar flats just south of the causeway. It was great. No no one else. Justin had one student who he was very attentive with. All around safe and professional with excellent local knowledge. I will absolutely use this boat again anytime I’m in Stuart… which I plan to be very soon.!
