DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. SHAME ON DAVID AND ALL OF THE HERCULES EMPLOYEES I SOIKE TO. Avoid at all costs Because in the end, although they quote you a price that is substantially cheaper than everyone else you will wind up paying the same. Case in point I called and spoke to a salesman named David who even texted me a wonderful review of himself. We spoke at length on April 9 and he took down very detailed information about the size of the move from New Jersey to Columbus, Ohio. He seemed to take personal interest in me and the move. He asked me when the move needed to occur and I told him I need the furniture picked up the 15th or 16th of April and delivered by Saturday, the 19th of April. He advised me that that would not be a problem, which should’ve been my first clue that it was going to be a problem. He explained their moving process. We discussed the stress of moving and it was his job to make it simple and easy for me. He quoted me a fixed price of $2100 which should’ve set off a red flag but it didn’t because it was between 1-3 thousand less than other more known moving companies I have been following up with Hercules verifying the pick up date and time and as recently as yesterday where they confirmed the delivery for Saturday the 19th of April and even said if I wanted it to be Sunday, just tell the moving guy when he gets here to pick up stuff in NJ and it would not be a problem because they can hold everything for 30 days at no cost. I selected them because they were cheaper, and most importantly, said they could accommodate my very short timeframe. I checked them on the Better Business Bureau website and although they are not a participating member because David said it costs the company to do that they had a solid B rating (BBB website is my next review stop). I received a call confirming pick up for Tuesday the 15th and met their contracted Moving company united pro movers. I spoke to the driver as instructed to confirm the delivery date and he said there is no guarantee on delivery date and it would be 1 to 2 weeks from this coming weekend. So of course I had a major meltdown, reached out to his company, reached out to Hercules and funny.neither can do a thing but they can guarantee delivery on Sunday for an extra $1000. I explained to Hercules when I called them back that I have the timestamp of every call I’ve made to them and since when calling into them the first message it gives is this call is being recorded, they could go back and pull the recordings to hear the discussions where I was guaranteed this weekend. Of course that was met with crickets so congratulations Hercules and United pro movers Because you now got an extra unexpected $1000 and an unbelievably dissatisfied customer. Thinking back I am guessing that this is a scenario they purposely created to get the extra thousand dollars, and they knowingly lied to me to create this scenario. I feel so stupid to be taken advantage of like this.So I will be updating this review after the delivery to make sure everything gets there as promised, noting the two guys that are here doing the actual move seem like really nice guys so I have no issues with them. But this is not over because I will be pursuing it and all I can say to anyone who is considering this company DON’T. Find a reputable mover, make the arrangements feeling comfort that the information you’re being given is going to be accurate and the move will likely just be more expensive than this company will quote you, but in the end know that it won’t be. If the deal seems too good to be true it’s likely not a deal you should be making. I learned the hard way so don’t make my mistake.
