**Update** Juan from David’s called me back after he could tell I left upset and told me to come back in so he could take another look free of charge. He disassembled the whole vacuum in front of me bc I could see why the fee is necessary. I actually feel bad that I wasn’t more understanding originally. They definitely made it right and I will be going back there for future needs. Thanks Juan!! *original review* I took my old Oreck vacuum (which was like new) in to have it serviced and the guy talked me into getting a new one by offering $100 for a trade in for my old (and in great shape) vacuum. So I did and paid about $300 after my trade in. I use my Roomba most of the time so this new vacuum doesn’t get much use. I maybe used it 5 or 6 times to vacuum my bedroom. That’s it. I do have long hair that gets caught in the roller, so I cleaned the roller brush and when I went to use it next, it started blowing air instead of sucking. I took it to the shop where I purchased it (now with a new name David’s Vacuums) and the guy told me my only option was to pay $100 for them to clean it and then they’d be able to see what was wrong with it. Only then would they tell me how much it would cost to fix it- which could be hundreds. Toooooootal rip off. Fool me once… I’m not about to keep throwing good money after bad. Don’t go here. But buy a new vacuum online and save yourself the trouble. Less

In a world where Customer Service is a lost art and often employees know little about their products. It is ever so pleasing to go someplace where to customer service, as well as product knowledge are absolutely stellar. Juan went above and beyond and I couldn’t be more pleased. This is absolutely the place to go to purchase vacuum cleaners, etc. I couldn’t recommend it more! And I would give it six stars if I could. I will absolutely be buying all future products from Juan. I live in North Carolina and was looking to find a discontinued Miele part # 125-3 cord for a discontinued S658 Blue Moon canister vacuum cleaner. I called the Charlotte and Cary distributors for Miele hoping to get some help in finding this discontinued part. Both of the stores said it's not available. I then starting calling other places looking everywhere. I then called David's Vacuum in Alpharetta, GA. I spoke to a lady I think her name was Mikayla. She found the part in Houston, TX quickly. When I called back to the store to order it Juan helped me to get the part ordered since the lady wasn't working that day. Both of the people were very helpful and courteous in helping me out. Wanted to thank both of them....... If they hadn't taken the time to look I probably would have had to buy a completely new vacuum cleaner. Less

I just have to say, amazing customer service and care by the wonderful people working here. I called in yesterday only looking for assistance with getting rid of an old vacuum cleaner that doesn't work anymore. I was hoping to find out if they knew where I could recycle it, and not only did the lovely Brian tell me that they could take care of that for me, he let me know that the store has a buyback program which allowed me to get credit from that vacuum cleaner towards any new vacuum in the store. So I got to get rid of my old vacuum and get some credit towards a new one all in one visit! When I brought the vacuum in, Brian was busy with another customer but Juan jumped right in to help me. Juan was so helpful and personable, he engaged me in conversation and showed me some amazing products around the store. Most impressive, he showed me the stores very own carpet cleaner, which amazingly was able to get red permanent marker completely out of white carpet. As the mother to two furbabies, this was super impressive to me. Juan even gave me a sample of the carpet cleaner to take home and try out on my own stains. The level of service I experienced here made it clear that I will no longer be running down to Walmart for a Swiffer, I'm coming back here and I hope you will too. I have never owned an Oreck vacuum but have always heard they were excellent. I purchased one over Labor Day weekend and was not only impressed with the machine but the service I received. Brian and Juan were so patient and thorough. I was given a demonstration of the vacumn and all my questions were answered promptly. I was also interested in the E-mop and Brian was very knowledgeable and explained the many features of the mop system. Most of all, I did not feel pressured in any way to purchase the vacuum or the mop. That impressed me, especially in light of all the time that was spent helping me. I would highly recommend the Windward Oreck store not only for its products but for the outstanding service provided, with a smile. Less

I visited this store 3 times during my search for a new vacuum for our new house. Each time I was there, Brian was the employee on duty. On my first visit I was very skeptical about Oreck. I politely challenged Brian by asking him why I would want to buy an Oreck. He gave me some reasons that at the time I dismissed but later came to appreciate. On every visit to the store, Brian was kind and considerate. I specifically mention this because of a couple reviews that complain about employees being rude. I have no way to know who at the store they were working with but after talking to Brian on three different occasions, I just can't imagine him being rude so I don't think this is something you would need to be concerned with. Regarding the vacuum itself, imagine my surprise that I actually ended up buying an Oreck. It turns out that our new house has a type of carpet that some vacuums (including some Orecks) have trouble with. Brian was aware of this problem and I consider myself very fortunate to have bumped into him. Not only was he aware of the problem, he guided me to a model designed specifically to work with this type of carpet. As trivial as I would have expected buying a vacuum to be, it turned out that the knowledge of someone specializing in vacuums was important. So why, the Oreck? Try cleaning something with one of them. It was a delight. I'm so used to when vacuuming something to have to keep going over the same area that I was surprised how well it worked. It was actually fun vacuuming with it. I hope my wife doesn’t read this review! It's also soooo light. That's one of the things Brian initially pointed out to me that I didn't appreciate until I went and looked at other vacuums. Also, the model I bought uses a bag, which I much prefer. After owning two bagless vacuums, I finally learned that bagless is just Latin for "dusty mess cloud invasion". Less
