The switch was stuck (or melted) in the off position. He changed the switch out, put everything back on, powered it up and turned it on. Then he turned it off and back on. It worked perfectly! I asked if he could change the two belts underneath that control the beater brush as there had been a burning smell lately when using the vacuum. He had both belts changed in less than 10 minutes. While there l asked about the other vacuum cleaners in the store (we haven't purchased a vacuum cleaner in 15 to 20 years!) He brought me up to date on each of them (the David, Miele, Sebo and a couple of Orecks) and even did a demo for me to show the suction of the David vacuums. He threw some cereal on the carpet and turned on the David vacuum and gave me the vacuum. It was quiet and it sucked up everything in front of it and one to three inches in front (or on the side)of it! It was amazing! I have never seen anything with that kind of suction. I was not there to purchase a vacuum cleaner but when it is time, l believe l will be going to David's Vacuums! Hunter was very friendly and professional and knowledgeable. He knows his stuff. I am going to take my wife by there so she can see these vacuums for herself! Who knows, we may walk out with a new vacuum cleaner! He even demo'd a David Houdini (something like a Swiffer, only battery powered and 100 times better!) I almost bought one but l have to check with the Mrs first. It would be perfect for our tile floors! I had never been to David's Vacuums before today but they will get all of my future vacuum business going forward - repairs or purchases. Less
