Great service and high quality vacuums. I've been a customer of this location for 18 years--still can get parts and service for my Oreck XL upright. Parts are fairly priced and staff are happy to answer questions and service all brands. If there is a sale or promotion, the staff will apply it for you to ensure you've left with the best deal available. You may pay more than a comparable vacuum at a discount store but you'll have local service at a David's Vacuum store and parts available--I purchased a Shark from a discount store previously and two years ago the filter needed to be replaced and neither the manufacturer or online generic parts store made a compatible part--so I replaced it with one from David's that has the same performance but better support and the vacuum is made in the USA. You can try the vacuums out in the store to see what they sound like and how they work on different surfaces. (The sales staff even help you make a little mess to clean up to test the vacuums.) I'm happy the store has remained in the community since 1997 and I've directed friends and colleagues to their store who are tired of replacing their vacuum every few years. Less

I got a puppy last fall, and my previous vacuum wasn't even touching the bits of dog hair, mulch, sticks, chewed cardboard, and more that my collie drags into the house every day - especially on my LL Bean water hog mats. I previously owned 3 dyson balls. Was sick of replacing them so I contacted Devin to let him know what I was looking for and to answer any questions I had. Devin set me up with the Sebo e3. This machine is great. Very easy to use and maintain for the entire family including my children. I have Vinyl plank all through the house with large area rugs in most rooms. This vacuum handles both surfaces very well. It comes with plenty of attachments that are easy to use to get everything from the corners of the walls and ceiling to the dog hair down in the couch cushions and everything in between. The Sebo e3 is easy to maneuver throughout the house and is very easy to store. The maintenance on it is very simple and if you don't understand something there are plenty of video's on YouTube to explain it. Customer service could not be better either. Im 4 hours away and they packaged the vaccume up and shipped it and it arrived without a scratch. Devin also set me up with a shop locally that will service any problems I can't handle myself. Great place and Dustin the salesperson was helpful. Came in to upgrade from an old Kenmore. Was going to get a Miele but found out about the Sebo. 10 year warranty, yearly cleaning, loaner if fixing needed-- I was sold. Love the vacuum. Quiet. Easy to use. It just feels solid. And wow does it suck up the dirt. Finally time for a big kid vacuum at 54. Expensive? Yes, but no more than twice what I paid for a Dyson which broke after 5 years. Less

Customer service is fantastic! Have been going to the Minnetonka store for years. Now live in St. Paul. Need to replace a different brand air purifier. Made the mistake of donating my 2 Orecks when I moved thinking I wouldn't need them. Wrong! Happened to be out in MTKA so stopped in there only to find out the XL purifier is discontinued. Store in Tamarack Village has some purifiers so I ended up here. And I was impressed by the reasons for the Oreck family choosing the brand's they choose. Prices are very reasonable. Will be back. Have a Riccar vacuum that I'll need bags. Accessibility was easy- door was open! But seriously, would normally be accessible. So the guys in Woodbury are very knowledgeable and very busy. I do have to wait longer than I’d like, but I always get superior service, so it balances out. The quality of everything (people, tech, tools, services) are worth 10 stars, but they are understaffed, lacking self service ability, and follow-through, and due to this they get 4 stars. They handle several top tier brands other than Oreck. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! But I do wish for some changes! I really like my Oreck vacuum. I have had one for the last 18 years but I am really tired of taking it in for its free tune-up and consistently having to pay $40 and up for "fixes". Every single time I have had to purchase a new roller. This last time they tried to squeeze me out of $20 for a disinfectant spray inside the vacuum bag. Really? It's not like I'm going to be eating off of my vacuum bag! Of course, I declined but I have never had a tune-up where I haven't had to pay for something or another. One of the best shopping experiences I've had in years. I researched what I thought I wanted on line and called the local store to see what they could to compared with the online deals. Devin matched Amazon and threw in a whole bunch of free stuff: $25 lambswool pads, buffers, then I got a GREAT deal on a store demo Magnesium RS vacuum for 50% off and Devin threw in free bags. This store beats online shopping AND Oreck corporate online. The stores are independently owned and still held by the Oreck family unlike Oreck corporate which I think was taken over by another entity last year. Oh, yeah, and the Orbiter refinished my VERY worn kitchen and dining room wood floor. They look like new. Took an afternoon and I have new floors for $400 plus the stain. Amazing little buffing/polishing machine that also cleans carpet, tile, vinyl, concrete and stone. Less
