They treat my daughter very well here. They are very nice and they work well with my daughters busy schedule. At this point I had already been through 4+ months of rigorous physical therapy, and was so deflated with the minor improvement, that I was contemplating micro discectomy surgery on my L5-S1 disc to relieve the pain. While flipping through YouTube videos of the actual surgical procedure, and trying to find non-invasive cures to sciatica relief, I came across individuals speaking about "corrective chiropractic" care. My goal was to avoid surgery at all costs, so I searched specifically for a "corrective chiropractor" in my area as a final option. After meeting with Dr Devon, I found that his chiropractic practice was different from others I had previously visited. It seemed much more medically-oriented, which started with a comprehensive physical exam and including several x-rays of my spine to determine a baseline vs. optimal conditionals (e.g., curvature & movement). From that assessment, I then realized why I had the problems I did, and in a way that the orthopedic surgeons I had seen never evaluated or communicated. Long story short (sorry, probably too late) -- After 3 months of seeing Dr Devon 3x/week, we found a rhythm of care that relieved my pain which allowed me to CANCEL MY SCHEDULED MICRO DISCECTOMY SURGERY (end of March 2019). At no point did he tell me that he'd "cure" anything else (I have high blood pressure, diabetes & high cholesterol, as well as sleep apnea). With very realistic expectations, we started treatment. That treatment includes not only his adjustments, but exercises that you do at home, between treatments. After about a month, I can tell you that my neck pain has subsided, and my mobility has increased to the point where I can get back to the gym. As an added benefit, my apnea is almost gone. I've stored away my C-pap and have few to no episodes at night now. Also, my blood sugar has come down a bit, which may be the result of more movement, as well as a better diet. His goal isn't to supplant conventional medicine, but takes a more holistic approach in a preventative way. His staff is both friendly and helpful as well. Dr Devon really took the time to listen to me and get a real understanding of what I wanted, and more importantly what I needed, to get my chronic back pain straightened out (no pun intended). Every other chiropractor I’ve gone to has just done the same old routine stuff and I never really got any true results until I came here. I feel like the plan Dr Devon put together for me was individualized specifically for me and my personal needs, not just some blanket plan used for everyone. Since seeing Dr. Devon, I am no longer leaving work at the end of the day, in so much back pain that my eyes are tearing; I'm sleeping better; and the baby has flipped, and is now head down! I probably should have come to Dr. Devon earlier in my pregnancy, however I didn't realize how bad I was coping with the pain, until realizing I could find relief.
