My kids love jujitsu here! It is a safe, supportive, and super positive environment. The teachers are incredibly experienced and genuinely care about the kids. Coach Jeff and Jenny are not only fantastic teachers but also great role models that have already made a huge impact on our family. I from out of town and needed to train. I couldn’t be happier with Shieded Roots. Professor Jeff and Jenny's facility is very clean and well-maintained, with a surprisingly spacious and comfortable area for families to relax and watch training. It really makes it easy and enjoyable to bring the whole family along.The instruction quality is outstanding. Professor Jeff has a tremendous amount of experience and an excellent teaching style. He doesn’t just show techniques — he clearly explains how to execute them in the most efficient and effective way. What sets him apart is how he breaks down concepts across different positions, teaching students how to think their way out of bad spots and how to maintain control once you’re in a dominant position.This is truly a family-friendly environment that welcomes everyone. Professor Jeff is a very happy and welcoming professional. His nature to be open and accepting to any new student is something I find to be an important part of any martial arts gym. Shielded Roots has quickly become like a second home to us. The owners, Jeff and Jenny have been nothing but amazing and have taught our son so much in only a couple of weeks. We are so thankful they opened a studio here in Snohomish and we look forward to a long future here!
