I'm only giving it 4 stars because I haven't dove with it yet but will review again in a couple weeks. So first they said 30 days and it arrived yesterday...only 3 weeks! I can tell already this is going to be a game changer as on my last dive I struggled to see my computer...BTW getting older sucks! Additionally there were some extras in the box (frog spit anti fog, stickers, and lolipops), thanks PDM! Can't wait to dive with this mask next week! Less

This is my second prescription dive mask and love them. My first was just a bifocal with readers and the second is a full prescription with readers. Both have been so helpful and i can see sea life and gauges under water now making my diving experience and safety so much better. Everyone at Prescription Dive Masks was extremely helpful. I contacted them a couple of times and all my questions were answered promptly and professionally. I received the mask within there estimated time frame for processing. The mask fits properly and I can see thru it great. Haven’t tried it underwater yet. From what I’ve seen so far I’m expecting nothing but good results. Haven’t been able to see good thru a scuba mask in many years. Now I can. The bifocal vision is great. After diving for a year without vision correction and being incredibly frustrated as I struggled to see anything more than a few feet away with any clarity while attempting to find just the right distance to read my dive computer display, I finally took the plunge (pun intended) and shipped my favorite mask to Prescription Dive Masks to get their bifocal lens added. The entire process was smooth and easy; the website explains everything and guides you through how to get the right lenses for your needs. I went with the expanded bifocal option since I am interested in underwater photography/videography. Just to be certain I completed the order form correctly, I called the customer service number and a friendly service representative answered all my questions. I also opted to pay for a rushed turnaround so I could get my upgraded mask in time for my first dive of the season. I received the mask even sooner than expected and walked around the house with it on to ensure both distance and close-up corrections were accurate. Everything seemed perfect. Yesterday, I took the mask for a test dive at our “local” quarry and despite the limited water visibility, the prescription lenses worked just as I had hoped. I’m extremely excited to be taking this mask on an extended dive trip to the Bahamas where I have no doubt the ability to see clearly in those gin-clear waters will be game changing! My eyes have aged to the point where contact lenses cannot provide the near and distance vision correction anymore. They added lenses to my Dive Rite Frameless mask that I had found a few years ago and fits me perfect. The prescription dive mask came in yesterday. I was expecting the vision to be the same and my new prescription glasses (it was), but I expected the dive mask lenses to be more limited in diameter. The lens covers most of the usable area of the dive mask. I am very happy with this and the position of the near vision bifocal portion.😀 Less

After completing the order on line I shipped my mask to PDM, but I neglected to include a copy of the order. Linda tracked me down to make sure it was done right. We spoke about an upcoming dive (25 days away). She said don't worry I will get this done and delivered to you before the dive and she did exactly that. Revision 05/14/24: I called them, and they offered to correct the issue for free. Just got my mask back, and the reader are 1/4 inch lower. Seems better. Will have to confirm on my next dive trip. Despite the fact that I went to my regular prescription glasses shop to have my mask marked by a professional, the readers were installed to high. Going on a dive trip and complaining about that problem, I found two others divers having the exact same issue!! So it seems to be a recurrent issue. I Also find those two little pieces of glass super expensive ($210), not to mention charging three time the real shipping cost ($26) when it cost me $8 to send them my mask. Also there was zero communication. I would have appreciated an email saying they received my mask, and another one to tell me they were shipping it back. Less

Fantastic service! I bought my new mask and shipped from Oregon to So Cal and knew that I was cutting it close to when Iu would be leaving for the Bahamas. A few days after they had received my new mask, I sent an email to Customer Service asking if they could expedite my order. No problem! The moved the expected completion date. Then, about 1 week before I was to leave for the Bahamas, I got a call from a very friendly woman from Prescription Dive Masks to tell me she had found my mask and marked it such that it get shipped to me 2-3 days early. I had the opportunity to test out my new mask over at the Blue Heron Bridge. I am so exhilarated at being able to actually see under water for the first time!! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get their prescription in their mask. I was worried because I have a +7.50 in each eye and wear progressive lenses. They can even do a bifocal!!! The owner Linda was so kind to me and took her time to explain everything, and Diana was super nice and patient with me calling a million times to make sure I did everything right lol. When I got my mask back, I was worried because the lenses were thick (as I knew they would be) and I was worried the mask would bump against my eyes when under water. I called them in a panic. Best customer service ever! Told me to try it out and if it didn't work they would redo it no problem. Turns out, I'm a dum dum and had the mask on too tight! Its a high quality mask and didnt need to be on so tight. 🤣 And when I felt my eyes might be too close I breathed out through my nose like Linda suggested, worked like a charm. I have a wide face and it has been a challenge to find a mask that fits properly. I finally found a Tusa Freedom HD super wide field of view mask. Now my problem was on me, as I have bifocal glasses. I have had lenses on a mask before. They were very thick and the field of view was narrow due to both the width of the mask and then the width of the lenses. They worked, but it was not optimal. As I did more diving, my ability to see clearly became more of an issue. What I wanted was an optical lens cut for the mask. If that was not possible, I wanted something thin, that covered the whole height & width of the mask. My next dive trip was to RajaAmpat in Indonesia and I really wanted to get the vision issue resolved. I searched around with limited success and finally called Tusa. They recommended Prescription Dive Masks. I called the company, they walked me through the whole process. I sent them my prescription. They gave me my options and what I needed to do to measure the Focal Center for each eye. I sent them the mask with the F/C markings. The Customer Service was terrific. They confirmed receiving the mask and gave me a return date. The mask had a thin optical layer that covered almost the entire inside of the mask. The prescription was perfect. In addition, the whole job was less than a new pair of lenses for my regular glasses. What a difference this made underwater. The clarity of vision and the full field of vision made for and extraordinary experience. I whole hardheartedly recommend Prescription Dive Masks if you love to dive and wear glasses. Less

I put off having my prescription put into my dive mask due to cost. Stupid me. It became clear, no pun intended, that when I could not read my gauges something had to be done. My Cressi mask just arrived with my prescription lenses in place. I see better with my dive mask then I do with my glasses. I cannot wait to use the mask while diving. My wife and I both have had great , friendly, service on 3 custom prescription masks. My wife’s was her mask getting a script put in. Both of mine were off the shelf inventory available purchases with my very heavy Perscription. I personally like the 28mm vs the 35mm bifocal as the top line on the 35 falls right in my transition zone for viewing (I thought the 35mm would be best for video/ photo but I switched to the 28. Turn around time as stated, IM to let us know our orders were ready for pickup and got to try mask fit at the Long Beach Scuba show and buy at show special prices, (fitting available at their shop too). Face time or Zoom the shop to order maybe instead of trying to enter all information in the right spot on the form. Next script change will get new mask. Less

For years, I have procrastinated about purchasing a prescription dive mask. With an upcoming trip to Lembeh Strait for a Macro Photography Workshop, I decided to make the purchase knowing we would be focusing on small and tiny critters. I could actually see them all, even those as small as a grain of rice! I am thrilled with my new mask! It exceeded my expectations. Why did I struggle so long with contact lenses and my regular mask? My prescription mask is great, worth having it. I can see so much better underwater. It took about 6-7 weeks from the time my mask arrived to Prescription Dive Masks to process my order, which is a bit longer than what I expected, so I’d prepare for not having a mask for longer if I were to order again… also when I reached out to find out the status of my mask, it was frustrating to go back and forth without getting any solid answer. Eventually I was promised I’d have it in time for my diving trip, and so it arrived on time. But the communication could be much better. Answering a question with a question is not a comforting and professional response. The product is great, it’s just the logistics and lack of solid communication that didn’t impress me. Less

I've had to wear glasses since 5-6th grade, and being near sighted, it's gotten worse over the years to the point that if an object is further than about a foot away from me, I can't see it clearly. Swimming has always been a struggle to see, since I never had a prescription googles or mask. A local Scuba shop, Dayo Scuba, recommended Prescription Dive Masks, and I could not be any happier. I did pay for a rush job, so I could get my mask back in time for my certification dives. It may seem expensive to get prescription lenses, but Prescription Dive Masks takes any mask and makes custom lenses, and they work great. My only "negative" is that the lenses are thicker than my regular glasses, and I just make the joke that i'm even more blind then I am, but it's more of a joke. The lens has to be thicker do to the further distance from the eyes. The lenses do not add a real noticeable weight difference either. In the future, I want to get a full face mask and will gladly use Prescription Dive Masks for their great service. They also sent two lollipops with, which my wife stole, but it was that extra little bit of service that really separated them from other businesses. Less

Excellent experience. My dive mask came back promptly (in time for my scuba lessons). And they work GREAT underwater! I'm a novice diver, 67 years old. My regular glasses have progressive lenses. I have a bit of an astigmatism. Prescription Dive Mask was recommended to me by my dive shop in Eugene, OR. The dive mask lenses were not cheap, but to me they were worth every penny. Wow, super service and my mask is perfect for me! I called them based on ratings on Yelp. I had already been to their website and found it very informative and basically I had the whole order in online, but called anyway because I wasn't sure which mask would be best for my small head, and also because I had about 16 days before I was leaving and wanted to know if I could actually get the mask in time for my trip to Mexico. The woman on the phone helped me pick out a good mask based on what I wanted, and went through the fastest way to get the order fulfilled so I could be assured of having it before my deadline. I did own my own mask but even though she assured me I had time to mail it to them I chose to order one from them in order to make it faster. My mask arrived in about 10 or 11 days, and it was gorgeous! I see as well with it as I do my glasses. I wear single prescription even though my prescription calls for bifocal or progressives, as my close sight is pretty good. It fit, never leaked, and I was able to basically take it out of its container and go. I found a bottle of National Geo anti-fog spray in my old kit (? no idea where I got it) and used it and no fogging either. Total cost was about $400 and having gone scubaing last year without it where I couldn't see the details of the huge rays drifting by and crabs under rocks and all the other glory under water, worth every penny. Definitely one of the nicest customer service experiences I have ever had. They were quick to answer questions I had via email, and incredibly efficient once the order was placed. If I need an RX mask in the future, I will use these folks, for sure. We purchased their underwater magnifier, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. It is lightweight, and has a retractable clip to keep attached and close during dives. I can’t wait to finally try it! Less

I tried using non-custom 'reader' lenses purchased at my local dive shop and that helped, but getting a full mask with prescription, plus readers was an excellent decision. I've completed 20 dives with the new mask, and tried one dive with the old mask, and I can't believe I waited this long to get a prescription lens. The astigmatism correction was worth it and I find taking photos and my overall vision really improved. I'm spotting macro subjects easier. A satisfied customer! Less

Our daughter has had glasses since she was 15 months old. We have always bought prescription goggle's for her when it came to the water, but they were the swim goggle type with the nose open. We had a trip planned to the Caribbean and was planning to do some snorkeling. Obviously we wanted her to be able to snorkel but it's hard without a regular dive mask. We ordered a mask over the internet from Prescription Dive Masks andI must admit I was a little worried that when they arrived they something wouldn't be right. Yowza! I've had prescription masks before but never realized how second rate they were until I got one from these guys. When I first got the mask out of the box I thought they'd made a mistake and done no work on it, the work was that good and that seamless - almost invisible. When I put the mask on I realized I was in for a whole new dive experience; I'll be able to see so clearly without squinting. The gauge reader portion is a thing of beauty. Superb customer service combined with excellent quality. I have a tough prescription due to the amount of prism needed, and I was reticent to send one of my ScubaPro masks for them to fit with lenses. I'm glad I didn't, because their Octomask is better than my ScubaPros, in my opinion. They got the prescription perfect in my mask and sport glasses, and they arrived more than a week early. When the stars align... I was at Beneath the Sea expo in the NJ Meadowlands on April 1, 2016 and was hunting for a mask. I had a bad experience with an on-line purchase of a prescription mask. I was nervous. The rep at Tusa helped me find a mask that fit and recommended I visit the Prescription Dive Masks booth in the next aisle. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! Linda Young checked the fit on the mask, she dotted my pupil centers and took all the measurements. I got a new prescription and sent a photo of it to her Tuesday. They had ordered my mask from Tusa, did the "see over" lenses to my individual prescription and I had my new mask the day before I left NY for Bonaire. Not only did the mask fit and leave room for smiles and laughter but I now have the sharpest vision underwater. Who knew fish had teeth? LOL.
