Billy’s class was wonderful. This was my first time trying CrossFit. I was very nervous because I’m awkward with my body when it comes to learning new kinds of exercise. I wanted to push myself during the workout but make sure that I didn’t overdo it and accidentally injure myself. As a coach, Billy is really attentive, perceptive, friendly, and helpful. His cues helped me modify my movements which were valuable to bettering my posture, coordination, and stability. The class was so welcoming and non judgmental. There was no threatening or creepy vibe to the class or gym at all. I attend mostly or women only fitness classes regularly because of uncomfortable experiences I’ve had at other coed gyms in the past. In Billy’s class, everyone was really focused on pushing themselves and doing the workout at their own pace. This cultivates a supportive environment where all levels of fitness can thrive and feel supported. It was a great first-time CrossFit experience.
