Let me tell you about my three visits so far with Movement Lab Chiropractic.
First off, the layout of the office:
The facility has an open plan space where we had the option to be adjusted around other folks who are going through the same experience for back/joint recovery journey. The office also has secluded rooms available for patients who prefer to be adjusted in private.
The greetings:
I walked in and met the most friendliest hands on doctors who greeted me at their front desk. I was also offered tea or coffee as they pulled out my documents. My chiropractor for the day was with Dr. Sullivan and he had given me a nice grand tour of the area and introduced Dr. Kimi to me as well.
1st visit:
Prior to attending the first appointment, you are required to take a survey on medical history and if it was your first time being adjusted. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Sullivan had asked all the right questions to come up with a pre-diagnosis on my current spine and back pain. He then physically checked with permission where the tightness/pain were coming from by checking my lower back, spine and neck. Then, he took me to the X-ray room and evaluated the pictures and adjusted me in the open space floor. It was a great experience overall and I got to witness how well Dr. Kimi worked on her patients as well. Her patient and myself walked out happy and relaxed by the end of the session.
Day 2:
This visit I was allowed to see my X-rays, and I kid you not I was thrilled to see what needed to be fixed. I sit at my desk all day and use my phone all the time that I had not realized if I did not choose this path of getting seen by a professional, I could have gotten arthritis at some point in my life. From after the evaluation of my X-rays, Dr. Sullivan shared with me options on how I want to take this road of recovery. Recommendation is twice a week for four months, otherwise, he left me with the choice of coming in at my own time. He then took me to the open space lab and adjusted me. Right before I left the office, Dr. Sullivan wanted me to bring my pillows next time to see how I sleep at night.
Day 3:
I was able to convince a friend of mine to come visit the office. I was super thrilled she had enjoyed the experience and I knew she needed to be seen because she had recently finished her marathon race the day before. I could tell she was super relaxed after being adjusted and I could the crack she had from being adjusted in the neck. While I waited for my turn, Dr. Kimi evaluated how i slept with my pillows versus how I should sleep with my pillows to prevent further damaging my neck, back and hip. Dr. Sullivan was caught up to spend on about my pillow talk and proceeded with adjusting me. Instantly he knew where I was feeling right on my back (right side) and how tight my quads were. My friend was still there as I got my neck cracked, they could hear it from literally 10-12feet away from me!
At the end of the session, I have concluded that I am invested in my health with movement lab chiropractic team. From my past experience, my last chiropractor did not have an X-ray, but used his course of judgment on where I needed to be adjusted. By joining movement lab chiropractic, i just appreciated the fact they take the time to listen to my back issues and be precise with their adjustments with utilizing the tools they have at their facility (especially the use of their X-rays)!
