I have had bike issue in the past that other shops couldn't figure out and when I took it to Plaines, Mike diagnosed it in minutes.. Tom recently did a full assessment on my bike when it got ripped off my roof rack by a tree branch - he is an incredible educator and technician of all parts if you need to trouble shoot. And Claudia is a rare type in a bike shop - she keeps the place going with a fun vibe while helping you make decisions on products without the sales feel. We're lucky to have Plaines!

Plaine's has provided services twice. The first was a simple bicycle tune up, the second service was to add a Thule roof rack to a new SUV. The cycle service was fine and quick. The roof rack work saved hundreds relative to the price proposed by my car dealership. Plaine's is a great addition in the area.

I grew up in the Berkshires and purchased a bike at Plaine's about 30 years ago, so it was nice to be able to purchase another new bike and support this local business again. I appreciate being able to see the bikes and learn about their features from people who I feel are knowledgeable and trustworthy. I love the Trek Verve 2 bike I purchased, felt it was priced fairly, arrived and was assembled quickly, and I was outfitted with all the accessories I needed in one stop. I highly recommend a stop at Plaine's if you are shopping for a quality bike.

Plaines is the place to go for your bicycle needs. They are not simply out to make money, but do seem to genuinely care about the customer, and their needs. I definitely recommend Plaines. And, after my recent visit, it made me say to myself that I will NEVER go to a certain East St. competitor ever again! That competitor is very snobby, and arrogant, and they think everyone has $1000's to spend on their overpriced merchandise. Plaines is not like that at all. I went there to have my chain replaced, and they had me out of there inside of 15 minutes, and without charging me an arm and a leg! The competitor: I might have to leave my bike there until they got around to it. I am sticking with Plaines for any future bike needs. You rock, Plaines!
