Great gym where everyone is so welcoming and make you feel at ease. If you are thinking about making physical or lifestyle changes this is a great place to get going. Would highly recommend Gym on the Square to anyone looking to join a new Gym . Everyone makes you feel welcome. The small group PT sessions are always fun and you are always encouraged to push yourself . Its the perfect environment for anyone looking to get into strength training and become a better version of themselves .

As a first time visitor to a gym I was immediately put at ease and put through a series of exercises for an hour that were very clearly and patiently explained. An excellent experience and one that I’ll definitely repeat next time I’m in Edinburgh.

It’s been the best gym experience I’ve had as the instructor’s are all amazing. The small PT Sessions are always great and what makes it even better is you can also do your own personal training session on the days when not taking part in the group sessions.

Gym on the Square is a great gym. The small group PT classes mean you are supported and the exercises can be adapted to any injuries you have. The coaches really help encourage you to do your best and my confidence in the gym has grown so much since joining. Would highly recommend

I do a lot of running (not very fast or pretty I might add) and I realised today just how much strength and conditioning could help improve my running. (That's a positive way of saying I've got no core and upper body strength and zero flexibility !!! 😂) If you live in the city centre or work here regularly and want to be part of a friendly community of people wanting to get and stay healthy then I'd recommend visiting Gym on the Square, next to Charlotte Square, Edinburgh. Best gym in town! Small group PT classes with additional cardio and stretching classes. Regular member events and socials. Diverse member base: locals, visitors and people new to the city. High quality coaching from a really friendly bunch!

A fantastic gym experience. Had never done strength training before, this is such a supportive environment to try it out. Steven and Jenna have created something really special, and the extra events and community spirit are such a bonus. The coaches will help you love working out.

Gym On The Square is top class! For myself (and my wife) it's been a welcome addition to our life since moving to Edinburgh from North West England 2 years ago. The team are welcoming, professional and take time to adjust to the needs of members both new or experienced. Sessions vary to fit what I need, and above all outside of getting fit we've made friends via the gym!
Love the small group training format. Excellent instruction and varied workouts in a really friendly, non- intimidating environment. Lots of help and advice on nutrition and all aspects of fitness

I've been so impressed by this gym. Having been a member of various gyms - from Equinox to Pure - this is a place that gets it all right. Because of this you really want to go there. The training is great and the focus on group training is both inspiring and productive. The extra stretching classes etc are excellent, and the social aspect of the gym is a huge asset. Highly recommended!

Love this gym! Steven and Jenna (and trainers Andrea and Scott) have built a great community with welcoming, like-minded members. The workouts are designed so you can see your consistent progression that pushes you while still being fun. I’ve also enjoyed the wee extras like weekend boot camps and coffee socials. I always looked forward to my sessions!
Great family owned business right here. You can tell they put care into this gym. Quality equipment, atmosphere, and service. Everyone was incredibly kind. Squat rack worked perfectly for all my needs.
This gym is totally non intimidating and warm. I have trained with Steven for a long time and he always goes the extra mile to make sure his clients are happy. 🥳 Your specific goals and needs are evaluated and adjustments and refocus maintained. By far the best facility around. The workouts are led by Steven himself, who gives hands on instant feedback and adjustments during the workouts. Paired with the awesome music and motivated group participants - this is the perfect workout environment. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get in shape.
I have been using Steven for 4 years. He is very decicated to you reaching your goals. The 1h training session goes super fast and you really enjoy doing it. Everyday is a new training, so it is never boring. I highly recommend checking this gym out. Ps excellent shower facilites too
