Great place to begin your crossfit journey! I came to Okinawa to visit my family for a few weeks and they brought me to this place. Everyone was very welcoming and all the coaches made me feel safe and helped me through my beginnings. Good vibes and music too! :)

I found Habu because I was looking for a gym with childcare. I found that and so much more. This gym was so welcoming and the people were so kind. Everyone was supportive even though I had no experience. I was a member for 4 years until I had to move. The staff is incredible and knowledgeable. I highly recommend giving this gym a try because you just might find your new best friends here.

Prior to joining CrossFit Habu I had little to no motivation to workout. Now, I look forward to going to the gym every single day. The coaches, members, and staff are all wonderful, motivating people who foster a real sense of community. Which goes a very long way for those of us stationed so far from our families. When I got to Okinawa I got heavy. Then I woke up one morning and thought, "My God woman you've gotten fat!" Then I just joined Habu CrossFit, I had never done it before. I just showed up one day and started from there.The staff are great and the coaches are always willing to help. The location is great. If you're looking for a gym that'll help get fit and push you this is the place for you.

Just started training in CF, but so far the atmosphere is great, Jay is a great trainer and the people all seem to really feel comfortable there...highly recommend Habu to anyone.

I. LOVE. CrossFit Habu! Before joining the Habu box, I attempted CrossFit at other locations. Sadly, my fitness and healthy lifestyle journey came to an abrupt halt because I just felt like I didn't fit. I decided to give my journey a go, after complications with my health, once more about 9 months ago. I walked into the box and joined in on the WOD! I haven't looked back! If you're nervous because you aren't "fit enough", or skeptical because of personal insecurities?!?, CrossFit Habu is the perfect place to help you overcome it all. We are more than a community; Habu (CrossFit Buddies) are like family. We support one another, disagree, laugh (a lot actually), cry, and push each other to meet and/or exceed their goals (especially Personal Records). I've NEVER felt like someone was picking on me, laughing at me, or anything negative. I had a fear, from previous experiences, that I'd finish last and everyone would leave me to note my results alone. Not at HABU!!! We warm-up together, WOD together, cool down together, and clean up (cue Barney song) TOGETHER! The WODs are always challenging; however, I feel the best I've ever felt in years. I'm more confident and secure in many ways- physically, mentally, and emotionally. The owner and coaches are...amazing! They easily adjust to the many personalities floating in-and-out of the Habu box, while still pushing everyone to do their best and always try to give more than your last. My personal achievements (proof): I joined the box unable to run a full 200m without feeling like death, I could ONLY lift a 35 pound barbell during WODs, pull-ups (even with a band) were detrimental to my soul and mental state, a handstand was out of the question, and my squats were equivalent to the Tin Man trying to bend with no oil (as nice as I can put it!). Today, I am down 20 pounds, I still hate running but I ran 800 meters (TWICE!) last night without stopping, I cleaned 115 pounds, strict pressed 70 pounds, and could overhead squat 65 pounds. I am able to do pull-ups with a band now, sometimes two, I can flip myself into a handstand, somewhat walk up a wall, and my squat is typically at parallel now. I have a prior shoulder injury, so the coaches personally helped me with different range of motion movements, and now I have less pain and difficulties during WODs. I've shocked myself with my many accomplishments, gotten frustrated, and now I find myself staying a little longer to do skill work because I simply want to be better. I still have a ways to go, but I've also come a loooooooong way! Just know, the CrossFit Habu family is unadulterated awesomeness! You should give it a try!!! You won't regret it! Less

Crossfit Habu staff creates a family like atmosphere that makes you look forward to working out everyday. The box coaches create an environment that brings out the best in each Crossfit athlete no matter what level they are at. Having their good Crossfit family and even better coaches really provides that extra motivation when needed to reach those physical fitness goals.

Great programming, amazing coaches, awesome atmosphere, incredible owners. I set a PR almost every time I walk into Habu and its all because of the great coaching and hands on training they Provide. The Box is always changing, improving and growing. There's new equipment all the time.
