After my prostate surgery, I experienced some of the typical issues and was encouraged to see a pelvic floor therapist. That led me to Pillar Kinetic, and I’m very glad it did.From the beginning, Erica started by talking with me about my overall health and life goals, not just the specific symptoms from surgery. What impressed me most was that Pillar looks at the whole person.The focus has certainly been on recovering from my surgery, but just as importantly, there has been a strong emphasis on improving my overall fitness and health.I have since transitioned to working with Minija, and she has been amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable about post-prostate recovery and pelvic floor therapy, but she also pays attention to every aspect of my physical health.Yes, we addressed the pelvic floor issues, but we also worked on strength, flexibility, balance, cardio, and even diet. I quickly learned that all of those things are connected.Minija is friendly, positive, encouraging, and always finds a way to motivate me to push just a little harder. She cares.What I appreciate most is that the program is built around me. When Minija notices a weakness, limitation, or challenge, we work on it. The therapy is individualized, thoughtful, and encouraging.At 70, I am genuinely noticing improvements not only in my recovery, but in my overall health and fitness.
