Couple of weeks without shoulder movement and pain with pins and needles. To my delight after an hour of manipulation I felt more optimistic and way more mobile. Another visit next week so hoping for more improvement.

I saw Sharron Sequeira. I had knee issues over many years which became acute. She immediately diagnosed the core problem was pronation and gave good advice ( non physio) and physio treatment. I did the Moonwalk and went up Kilimanjaro within 6 and 12 months respectively. Can't really ask for more.

This all went so well that my knee has given me no trouble throughout the 2023 season - and I've played more than 20 times on some hard ground too. No limping, not even any twinges, nothing. I can dive onto it, kneel on it for long enough periods, run downstairs without worrying, and even kick a ball (ok not a core cricket skill) - none of which I could do before I came to see you. My squats are now steady as a rock where before I could do none. All this has also helped me in my Pilates class where I can now do all the positions and stretches asked, so my core has strengthened as well. Less

I’ve always had very positive experiences with this place, having had treatment from two of the physios over the years, as well as massage and a couple of sessions of pilates. Everyone works so well, to not only treat immediate complaints but also understand holistic needs, and so share excellent long term advice. In all honestly I’ve never known a better provider of any of these services.

After switching from cycling to running in 2019, I had a series of niggly injuries (ankle sprain, calf strain, shin splints, plantar fasciitis). Having had a previous positive experience with Vanbrugh Physio, I had no hesitation in seeking their advice and support again on these issues - building good working relationships through focused sessions with the same friendly physiotherapists (Josh, then Sharron). In each session, I was given treatment, advice and recommended exercises to follow (my pre-run stretches still include exercises recommended by Josh), and my legs have become much more resilient. In September 2022, Vanbrugh Physio were able to treat the plantar fasciitis issue in my right foot using extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and after three courses of treatment, I was almost back to normal. Anja was incredibly supportive, coming in to help me with session outside of her usual hours and giving me exercises that I could take with me whilst working. I'm glad to say that 8 weeks in I am seeing great improvement following the advice Anja gave me. She also gave me a personal training session, to help refine and perfect my form within training movements. This has allowed me to keep training alongside and have the confidence that I can do this safely. I didn’t think I was sufficiently bendy for yoga so when the invite from Vanbrugh Physio came through, I decided to try it. And so glad I did. The classes are never more than six people so you receive proper, targeted attention and encouragement. The breathing technique has also helped me with other moments in life when you need to step back, focus, then go back to whatever challenge you face. I can honestly say that I come out of the class feeling taller and my clothes seem to be less clingy and, (secret), I actually wasn’t too embarrassed on the beach this summer. I’d committed to a challenging hike in a couple of months time and was concerned my knees wouldn’t stand up to it as I had reached the point where I couldn’t walk a couple of miles without pain. I’d heard good things about Vanbrugh’s clinic, hence decided to book in there. James took the time to take a history of the issue and carry out various tests to understand what could be causing the pain I was experiencing right now. He gave me a a treatment program, which was more personalised (and not as boring!) than other programmes I’d previously been given. James made sure the sessions were not entirely clinical which made them enjoyable and helped take my mind off the issues, and instead focus on working towards improvements. The problem improved week by week and I was soon able to walk 10k a day without pain. The best thing was that I was able to do the challenging 30k hike, which I never thought I’d be able to do! I came to Vanbrugh Physio barely able to walk with two busted legs - a ripped calf and a twisted ankle. Within two months Nick Charlish has done an amazing job and I am now walking 15km a day, cycling 15km a day and swimming 1,500 metres. I highly recommend Vanbrugh Physiotherapy Clinic! On top of the constant discomfort, it became challenging to even drive my car. Luckily my physio Bianca came to the rescue :-) Bianca treated me for about four months and she was GREAT! Sessions start with an assessment of the movements that cause pain. After that, massage therapy took the bulk of the session: Bianca expertly manipulated the soft tissues and muscles in the problematic areas of my neck and back, loosening up the tension and gradually dissolving the "knots". Then the session ends with specific advice on exercises to do at home. I could feel substantial improvement since the first few sessions, and most of the pain was gone after about a month. Bianca is a friendly, professional and extremely skilled practitioner I cannot recommend enough - big THANK YOU for "fixing me" Bianca :-) The premises of the clinic are nice and new, and very welcoming. The sitting area is comfortable and cozy, and there is a free to use coffee machine that makes great coffee - what you need for your early am appointments ;-) The treatment rooms are clean and the medical equipment is brand new, and thoroughly sanitised each time it is used. The reception team is warm and friendly; they are available, and they always try their best to accommodate your schedule. They work very closely with the physiotherapists, so it is easy to make changes to appointments if you need to. Also the clinic works with most of the major health insurers, which makes it particularly convenient if you have a policy. I would be a treat to anyone in the building in the future but apparently not on that day and never in the past. The final outcome was: "either you wear a facemask or you leave". The facilities are good enough and the staff are friendly, but I've never been to a physio that's tried to squeeze as much money from me, - Treatment spanned over more sessions than necessary - Having to redo an "initial consultation" appointment if you haven't been to the practice for more than 6 months. I have had my knees looked at before but it was inconclusive so I didn’t know what was wrong. It got to the point that I was not able to enjoy my sports anymore because I worried so much about it. I was recommended the Vanbrugh through a friend and saw Prince. Finally, I was given a proper diagnosis on what the issue was and got a rehab plan to fix it. Prince has been great, he really took his time to find out what was causing the pain through a lot of tests and he also took the time to go over the exercises with me in detail week after week to make sure that I did them correctly. But most importantly he helped me understand what has been going on with my knee and how I can keep it at bay in the future. I would definitely recommend Prince, he is very analytical and thorough in what he does and has a very detailed approach, but at the same time is very patient and courteous. I have been seeing Prince for about 5 months in total now on and off and have been sticking to the exercises and plan he gave me and I feel so much better! Before I saw him, I had gone for a hike and I was in so much pain and was struggling to walk! But now I have just gotten back from an even harder hike than that one and I had no problems at all and could straight back into playing tennis! Fantastic physiotherapy practice! I highly recommend Nick - one of the Connect Physiotherapists in the practice. They've been looking at me holistically and helping with a whole host of issues I collected over several years that no one else had fixed. Specifically, I have a herniated disc, knee. The progress has been great and steady. They've made me feel listened to, and empowered as a patient. My observations and comments on how parts of my body feel are used to help inform treatment dynamically rather than dismissed as not fitting with the "standard course of action for XYZ condition". It's been super effective. Last year this I wasn't able to walk for more than 10 minutes without knee and back and hip pain. Now I'm back to daily walks, often for 40 minutes++, starting some cycling and also finally getting some better sleep (I used to get back and hip pain in different positions lying down that's much improved!). I previously tried to get help with different physiotherapy practices (not just in the UK by across 3 countries!), but none got resolved. To a large part this has been due to how the NHS and other public health systems are set up. No one wanted to look at my issues holistic. At one point, I was going to the same NHS physiotherapist for both my knee and neck, but we could discuss how after therapy to my knee my neck got worse or vice versa - there was an iron wall between these two issues. Also, after my knee pain didn't get better in the 10 prescribed sessions, I was made to feel that it was my fault I'm not healing faster. I was told they couldn't do more and I could go see another specialist. I asked what specialist but they didn't know. I also tried other Physiotherapists privately to the same effect - no one wanted to look at me holistically but just as an agglomeration of different, unrelated conditions to be treated separately. Vanbrugh Practice and Nick specifically were the first and only practice that said they had specialist looking at people as a whole such as Nick and has delivered on that! He explained the nature of my problem and released the pressure on my muscle. I am finally pain free after 3 months of agony. This was followed up immediately with a link to exercises specific to me. I was really impressed with this Physio. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful and very thorough with hand washing and sanitation. I went in with ankle pains from running and within 5 weeks Nick had resolved all of my issues and my ankle feels good as new! He was always so helpful and explained everything very clearly. Vanbrugh Physio is a great clinic. The team are really welcoming and have thorough COVID-19 safety procedures in place. I've been coming here for around 8 months or so. Having been there in the past I think the specialists are great. The approach by the management though, to keep trying to charge you every time you come back as a new client is a disgrace. Especially as a place that is supposed to help people, horrible.

Nice friendly staff.

Excellent advice and support for help with a troubled feet and arms(injuries done through working out. A lot of help and explanations on causes and plans for healing and avoidance of further problems. Good method in work and providing help, happy with my session.

Been a few times for posture help and massage and Leon was helpful, offering practical exercises that really helped. I was just too lazy to carry on with them! They do a good referral scheme where you get money off too.

Literally a joke ! Treating the symptoms and not the problem. Around 70£/h for something you cannot call a massage. Literally making fun and stealing money of suffering people !

Friendly service, runs on time, my physio has been really great and gives me lots of exercises to do in my own time. The experience has been really good.

Had an amazing visit today with Sharron, she helped relieve my pain in my neck, arm and back. I now have full movement in my arm again as well as my neck too. I suffer from Hypermobility of the joints so have regular dislocations/subluxation and the Vanbrugh Physiotherapy Clinic have been amazing at making them less frequent and making me ultimately stronger. Consumate professionals! If you need physiotherapy, this is a great place to go if you live in or near Greenwich. Excellent sports and deep tissue massage available too.
