The staff is always friendly and professional. They are very accommodating and helpful. Whatever issue I’ve had they’ve addressed in a timely manner. They are very aware that people need their hearing aids and are quick to resolve any issues

As an engineer and a hearing aid user of almost 40 years, I have visited many offices and worked with many audiologists. I have had good experiences and bad experiences, but never a GREAT experience until just recently. I contacted seven different audiologists in hopes of purchasing new hearings, and decided to go with Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia. Anyone that deals with hearing loss, be it mild, profound or anything between, knows that communication skills, critical-thinking, compassion and probably most importantly, patience is needed when dealing with such challenges. I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism that greeted me at the front door by the Office Manager to the time, transparency and care that Dr. Wightman showed me through the entire process of purchasing new hearing aids. Of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice Audiology had access to all of the brands and models of devices, they didn’t push any one brand on me, like several of the other offices did, Dr. Wightman had device suggestions based on my testing, but explained that he is not in the business of selling hearing aids, but in the business of giving me the best chance of successfully utilizing what hearing I have left. Also, Sound Advice had the longest trial period of the offices that I contacted. They allow for a 30-day trial, not 2-weeks as the other offices limit you to. Two weeks is not long enough for your brain to acclimate to the new sounds that you are hearing or the old sounds that you are hearing differently with new technology. Even at that, Sound Advice is flexible with the trial period. Probably, the most important thing that I can state confidently, of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice had the least EXPENSIVE prices for hearing aids and their repairs. They beat the lowest quote that I obtained elsewhere by $1,200! Everybody knows that hearing aids are not cheap! After two years of trying to hear better; I found the place. Lauren took the time to LISTEN to my concerns(many) and find the correct solution. I can finally hear in bars, and other noisy areas. I was never given information on CROS hearing aids/microphones. It works great. Thanks Lauren.

I’ve been a Sound Advice patient for a number of years and have always found their staff and hearing products to be absolutely outstanding! I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my hearing needs.

I was referred to Sound Advice several years ago for new hearing aids. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. When I had issues with the aids, they were able to get them fixed and the warranty extended. The hearing aid cleanings and batteries are a plus. They even were able to connect me with a free captions phone.

I have been going here for years and they are very caring people. Have my hearing aids check out and cleaned every six months at no charge. Have never spend a dime on battiers or new tips. Hope that they stay that way.
