When some heavy winds damaged my gutters, PreFix referred me to 787 Construction to do the repairs, and I'm so glad they did. Matthew Farrell quickly scheduled a time to come out and take a look, and I had another appointment shortly after for the repairs. His worker was quick and effective. My neighbor, who shares a roof, had a different company come out to look at a possible leak. When that company suggested all kinds of expensive repairs and "preventative" maintenance, it didn't sound right to me since 787 had just done some work on it, so I emailed Matthew again, and he came out right away to take another look. He was completely forthright about what we did and didn't need, made some recommendations for future things to look out for, saved us a bunch of money, and didn't charge for the visit. Today I locked myself out of my house, like an idiot. After a locksmith failed to get in (and still charged me for the privilege), I realized I could get in through the balcony if I had a ladder tall enough. I called Matthew again. He was out of town but called one of his guys, who arrived within 20 minutes, got onto the balcony, and opened the door. And then he didn't even charge me! These guys were really responsive amd provided a great price and top quality service. I used them for two separate jobs. They did a perfect job fixing my roof in a hurry when the big freeze came. And they put a great-looking chimney cap on for us a year later. They did some really nice touches like painting other stuff on the roof to match the chimney cap. Matt and his team were incredible to work with. After our home was damaged in a flood and our insurance company was difficult to work with, Matt came in and really saved the day for us. He gave us a fair estimate and took the time to answer our questions about every step of the process. While he went back and forth with our the insurance, he helped make our home livable so we could get back into it and out of an uncomfortable hotel situation. When it came time for the work to begin, he and everyone on his team were nice, communicative and seemed to really care about doing an excellent job for us. Most expensive drink I have ever had. Suzie and I were at a local establishment at the bar having some HH munchies and drinks. We struck up a conversation with a couple next to us and one thing led to another, we had hired Matt to do our kitchen remodel. Matt's team at 787 were excellent. Matt came by and spent a great deal of time with me and the misses in our kitchen. Not only was he extremely helpful in suggestions, colours and patterns for tile, he was also very well educated with current trends and price structures. What turned out to be a simple painting, ended up with complete restoration of our existing cabinets, custom installed slow close drawers and deep custom organizers for our 25 yr+ lower cabinets. New tile back splash, sink/faucet and new counter tops. It wasn't what I originally had planned, but I am so glad we had this all done. The kitchen looks amazing. The Job took much longer than anticipated, but that was totally on us. We decided at the last minute to add the counter tops, which needed to be done first. This meant a re-scheduling of everything else. But once the project started, I believe is was about 7 working days knocking it all out. All his team were courteous, on time, careful and cleaned up after themselves each time they were in. They also fixed a caulking issue in our new remodeled master bathroom and installed a new ceiling light fixture in our laundry room. Matt was there almost everyday to check in and make sure things were being completed in a manner to his expectations. And ours. He will be coming back to complete a few other projects we have in our mind. Less
