I normally don’t write reviews. If I have a bad experience somewhere, I usually move on. This time, however, I felt compelled to share my experience to help others who may be considering this salon.I booked a gel manicure and regular pedicure the day before leaving for an overseas vacation. I rarely get manicures because my job requires constant handwashing, but since I would be away for over two weeks, I wanted a gel manicure that would last throughout my trip. When I arrived, the receptionist was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of my visit. The technician who came to me immediately began trying to hand me off to other technicians, saying things like, “It’s okay if you want to take this one,” while standing right next to me. It made me feel like I was an inconvenience before my appointment had even begun.I showed the nail technician a photo of exactly what I wanted. What disappointed me most was the lack of proper nail preparation. My cuticles were barely cleaned, and my nails weren’t properly prepped before the gel was applied. Those are basic steps that are essential for both the appearance and longevity of a gel manicure. The appointment was scheduled for 1 hour and 45 minutes, but I was completely finished in only 45 minutes. At first I thought that was a bonus, but afterward it became obvious that the service had simply been rushed. Before leaving, I noticed one of my toenails had been smudged. Rather than redoing it, the technician initially rubbed it with her finger and told me it looked fine. After I looked more closely, I found several imperfections and asked that they be redone. They were corrected, but not without a noticeably sarcastic attitude that made me feel uncomfortable for expecting quality work.Because I had another appointment, I didn’t inspect my manicure carefully until later. At my facial appointment, my facialist looked at my nails and genuinely asked when I was planning to get my manicure. She assumed I hadn’t had it done yet because it already looked like it had grown out for over a week.I’ve attached photos because they speak for themselves. There is a large gap between the cuticle and the gel, my cuticles were never properly cleaned, and the overall finish looks rushed and unprofessional. This is not what I expect from a professional gel manicure, especially one I booked specifically to last through my vacation.Overall, I left feeling rushed, uncomfortable, and disappointed. The quality simply did not match the price or the reputation of the salon. I chose this salon because it was convenient to my workplace, but after this experience I won’t be returning.
