Was briefly relocated to Columbus unexpectedly. Rubicon jiujistu was an absolute blessing, it’s always a gamble when you pick a gym from a city you’re not from. What if the competition culture is weird? What if the professor is just bad? What if they have some sort of off-putting gym tradition? Rest assured Rubicon is extremely welcoming, outstanding coaches and staff and pushed me to have a better jiujitsu game. Highly recommended

Just the 2-weeks from bringing my son, this gym is top notch the owner Josh actually remembers every kid that comes through. He truly made us feel like family the moment we walked in. I’ve been to gyms in TX, TN, and GA. This place is top notch. Stop shopping for gyms and come here! You won’t be disappointed.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my time here. each session is structured teaching with crawl, walk, run methodology. If you are very new the professors will pair you with someone experienced so you can learn more proficiently and safely. At the end we all spar. I noticed that ALL of the higher belts spar including the black belts, and they will spar with anyone including new students. Rolling with them is such a privilege because you learn so much. I rolled with Professor Brian tonight and although he was only going 10%-30% on me, his technique was so good he submitted me each time, then gave me tips on how to improve at the end. It's a great place to be. OSS!!!

I went in today "shopping around" for a dojo. My search is over. Useful and easy to understand training was given. Stage by stage from takedown to gaining dominant position. The more experienced ones in the class guided the less experienced. Then, it ended in a friendly competition using the techniques learned in the class. The professor knows his craft and how to teach. I'm looking forward to dedicating my time here. I hope whoever reads this review down to here is convinced to give this place a shot too.

Rubicon Jiu Jitsu is THE BEST. The Professors and Coaches are incredibly skilled, patient, and passionate about teaching, creating a fun and supportive environment where my kids have thrived. They’ve gained confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills while learning practical self-defense techniques. Rubicon truly cares about each child’s growth, both on and off the mat. “Man, Rubicon Jujitsu is like finding a $20 bill in your old coat pocket—unexpectedly awesome and life-changing. I came in thinking I was just gonna learn a few moves, maybe survive a couple of rounds, but what I found here is straight-up family. It’s like Beyoncé meets Bruce Lee, but better because it’s right here in your town. These ladies are straight-up warriors, but the kind that’ll still hype you up after class. After training with Rubicon for around 7 years it has been a great experience. We now rotate our boys in and out a couple months of the year in between other sports as well. Both kids and adult coaches do an amazing job maintaining a culture of learning.

I began training at Rubicon in 2019. Although I had never done jiu-jitsu before, the professors, coaches, and members welcomed me and made me feel completely comfortable in learning the sport. My daughter started training in 2021, and has loved it! Rubicon has amazing children’s classes, patient and knowledgeable coaches, and a family atmosphere. Rubicon is the best place to learn and grow in jiu-jitsu. The support my daughter and I have found here is second to none, and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. If you are looking for a gym that cares about you as a person, has a variety of classes that are perfectly designed from young children through adult, and will support you though any journey you may be on, Rubicon Jiu-Jitsu is for you!

We've been going to this gym for over 3 years and couldn't be happier. New name, new chapter, same amazing program.
