My wedding ring broke and needed to be repaired where the two rings connected. I have had my wedding ring for almost 36 years now, so I was hesitant to leave it. But I'm so glad I did. It was repaired beautifully and the cleaning and buffing made it look like the day I recieved it. Hello, I had broken my beautiful 14k gold anklet I don’t trust just anyone to fix my jewelry I was hesitant on going somewhere I was not familiar. I went into this shop and I felt welcomed I was greeted right away and it was so nice to speak to someone who was so pleasant, courteous and gained my trust right away. My Fresh water Pearl necklace broke, I saved the pearls, when I took it into PEARLS INTERNATIONAL, they were the FIRST to string my Pearl's on a HEAVY filament, It won't be breaking any time soon. I met with the wife of the Gemologist, and how fascinating a life they lead, hunting for gem's. They have very BEAUTIFUL Jewelry they have designed and so close to the Ocean. When I asked about some of the salt water Pearl's that I've seen over the year's in my International travel's I was told WHY saltwater Pearl's are so expensive. Prime reason is due to the fact our Ocean's aren't only "over fished" they are also "over Harvested" for Pearl's, Luckily, Pearl Farming is very much a "sustainable" practice, many Farmer's are careful not to kill the oyster by using surgical tools but only one in 10,000 oysters produce a usable Pearl. The gal that owns the store with her husband is very nice and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about how pearls were made. She was also very patient and went the extra mile pulling out pearls that were not mounted to help me find the perfect color stone for the pendant I wanted! This shop sells itself, so the best advice I can give is just to go there and experience it for yourself and you'll understand what I'm talking about. You don't get much better as far as jewelry shops go. Marty the owner and Sophie her daughter are cooler than cucumbers and have genius-level-knowledge of everything pearls. Jim, the Dad comes up for air every now and then from making all the beautiful pieces you see in the store!
