We were extremely aprehensive at the thought of bringing someone in the home to care for our mom during the day...nervous about a stranger in our home and what they may do to our mom. All I can say is that it has been a God-send to have had Jocelyn assigned to our mom. She has truly become part of our family and part of the village in helping us communicate with nursing staff and in some of our decision making processes. She is kind and loving toward our mom, always looking out for what is best in her care. She keeps her exercised both physically and mentally. I don't know what we would have done without her in our lives.

I used Caring Hands for 16+ months to care for my husband's last months with Parkinson's Disease. When Caring Hands started, my husband just needed help with mobility and hygiene. Caring Hands saw my husband through the subsequent progression of diminished speech, swallowing difficulties and eventually dementia. Adjustments were made in staffing as needed to address his increasing needs. I was very pleased with management, quality of caregivers (ie, all well-trained and experienced) and fees. Kathy Campbell (General Manager) provided an invaluable service of suggesting improvements in the house, interacting with my husband once dementia started and most importantly of all - urgently obtaining hospice care to minimize my husband's suffering in his last few days.
