Went for a mothers day lunch with my wife, Ann, and our 2 girls. All went for the carvery, the girls having the nut roast. Service was excellent and so was the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed another fabulous steak last night. (Thursday steak night). Great value for money and absolutely delicious. We were a table of eight (because we keep telling our friends how good it is and they all want to come with us 😊) and the pub was extremely busy but the staff were attentive and we didn’t have to wait too long for the starters or mains. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will certainly keep returning. Thanks Owen, the chef, the bar man and the lovely ladies who looked after us at our table!

This is a lovely local pub with very friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere in the bar was lovely too. Plenty of screens to watch the football but music being played at a sensible volume so you could ignore the TV and just enjoy your meal. We all had standard Carvery which is reasonably priced at £12.95. The food was excellent with a good choice of meats and veggies. Will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

Had a fabulous , tasty carvery for lunch today. I was alone but didn't feel lonely . The staff were very friendly and a nice couple with their rescue dog chatted with me after the meal. The carvery was superb - You can choose small /medium or large portion of beef/pork or gammon. I chose the tender beef and then you help yourself to the vegetables. The cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes were the best I’ve eaten in a long time! The small beef and veg and Yorkshire pudding were just £10 .. this is a carvery that does not charge rip off prices. I will definitely be back . What a great find 😀

Didn't have food but enjoyed a smashing pint of Timmy Taylors and a game of cards. Nice pub with a warm atmosphere 👌

Always a good meal at the Commercial (my "Local" so have eaten there on a number of occasions). Just had Sunday carvery today, can only manage the smaller meal these days (one meat instead of two). Service always excellent as is the atmosphere.
