Lovely pub in gorgeous village. I had "their own" cheeseburger version and it's was so tasty as were the chips. Both meals looked a little minimal and ought to have included some vegetables for better visual presentation.A star removed for the genus toilet. No lock, difficult to shut and more difficult to open as handle coming off.

This pub needs to bring back the music box allowing people to pick songs, and could invest in an extra pool table and maybe more covered seating areas outside but other than that a nice village pub..

Recently spent some time at Crayke and visited The Commercial in Easingwold on 2 occasions for food. Lovely welcoming village pub with excellent friendly staff and exceptional food. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the landlord, his staff and the locals. Very dog friendly too.

We booked for sunday lunch today and we were not disappointed, our waitress was so friendly and attentive. 3 of us has carvery 1 had fish and chips and it was all absolutley delcious. 1 thing the knives could have been sharper. But the food was outstanding and we will be back.

Both had rhe stroganoff one with rice and one with chipsHusband also had blackberry crumble and custard and you can tell all the food is home cooked. Huge pieces of blackberries in the crumble.
