Recently spent some time at Crayke and visited The Commercial in Easingwold on 2 occasions for food. Lovely welcoming village pub with excellent friendly staff and exceptional food. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the landlord, his staff and the locals. Very dog friendly too.

We booked for sunday lunch today and we were not disappointed, our waitress was so friendly and attentive. 3 of us has carvery 1 had fish and chips and it was all absolutley delcious. 1 thing the knives could have been sharper. But the food was outstanding and we will be back.

Both had rhe stroganoff one with rice and one with chipsHusband also had blackberry crumble and custard and you can tell all the food is home cooked. Huge pieces of blackberries in the crumble.

First time having the carvery and it was fabulous and such good value . It couldn't be faulted. The service was friendly and prompt .It is a real pub,a wide variety of clientele and dog and child friendly .

Went for a mothers day lunch with my wife, Ann, and our 2 girls. All went for the carvery, the girls having the nut roast. Service was excellent and so was the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed another fabulous steak last night. (Thursday steak night). Great value for money and absolutely delicious. We were a table of eight (because we keep telling our friends how good it is and they all want to come with us 😊) and the pub was extremely busy but the staff were attentive and we didn’t have to wait too long for the starters or mains. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will certainly keep returning. Thanks Owen, the chef, the bar man and the lovely ladies who looked after us at our table!
