I can't say enough about the dog board and train program I recently experienced. From the moment they came to pick up my beloved canine companion, I knew I had made the right choice. The trainers were true professionals. They took the time to understand my dog's unique needs and personality. Their experience and knowledge were evident in every interaction. They used positive reinforcement techniques and were patient and compassionate throughout the training process. One of the most significant benefits of the program was the regular updates they provided. I received video and photo updates daily which eased my anxiety about being separated from my pet. They were also very responsive whenever I reached out with questions. This transparent communication was a reassuring touch. After a few weeks in the program, I was amazed at the transformation in my dog's behavior. Maria and Dave are AWESOME! My year and a half old Corgi, Nugget, is the most stubborn boy. He's a smaller dog, but he's very smart and VERY strong. I reached out to Disciplined Dog Trainer back in February because he started showing leash reactivity and was leash pulling uncontrollably. I was working with another trainer at the time too, but the behavior was actually progressively getting worse, to the point where I started dreading walks and leaving my apartment with Nugget. I started taking the stairs to get outside and back in, just to avoid walking past other dogs and people in the elevator and lobby. Maria and Dave came to my apartment for a consult the day that i reached out to them. They were immediately ready to help me and Nugget. Nugget spent only two weeks with Maria and Dave and came back a brand new Corgi! I was a little apprehensive about using a prong collar with Nugget, but Dave showed me how to use this training resource correctly and responsibly to make sure it stays a safe and effective communication tool for Nugget. And i must say, it's truly night and day!! He no longer reacts to dogs and people walking by. He walks right beside me, and even looks to me for direction! I also want to mention that he isn't afraid of the prong collar, and actually reacts positively when i put it on because as Dave says, "he knows it's time to work". In the past few weeks though, he's started reverting back to old behavior. Admittedly, all due to my own fault, since i haven't been consistent and practicing everything we've learned with Nugget on the daily. Maria and Dave came over yesterday and in just one hour, helped me re-established control and discipline again. Corgis are incredibly smart and stubborn dogs, and over time i allowed him to push the boundaries I had set in place. Though i'll need to keep working hard with Nugget to prevent this from happening again, it's just so reassuring to know that Maria and Dave are only a call/text away if we do start falling back into old patterns. Maria and Dave reach out to me on a weekly basis to get updates on Nugget. I send them videos of our walks and outings, and Dave replies almost instantly with questions and feedback to help us maintain and improve on all the hard work that Nugget's been putting in. Not many trainers are willing or are easily available to converse with their clients on a daily basis, but Dave and Maria are always ready to chat whenever i need some quick tips or guidance. David and Maria have done absolute wonders for our dog Lemon. david and maria are PHENOMENAL!!! i would recommend them to anyone and everyone who has a dog whether your dog has behavior problems or not. unfortunately our dog(chief) bit me in the face because he wanted attention from my boyfriend and i intervened thinking he wanted to play with both of us when he wanted only something from my boyfriend which david had taught me he was resource guarding my boyfriend. before training chief was on our bed on our couch was always following us around the house and would whine and paw us for whatever he wanted. at the time he bit me he was on our bed and pawing my boyfriend and i intervened and scared him which led him to biting me in the face. david and maria were outstanding with responding immediately to us. we were in the hospital asking what should we do and they responded immediately and chief was picked up right away for training. they were thorough, determined and honest. from the moment chief was picked up to when he got dropped off even after being dropped off they stayed in contact with us. they sent videos and pictures and even called us on the phone to updated us on his progress. when chief came home he was a completely different dog he was obedient he followed commands and respected me not just my boyfriend. with all of this being said it’s on YOU the owner to follow through with the training so they don’t lose what they learned in training. i recommend disciplined dog trainer to anyone with a big or small dog an aggressive or non aggressive dog any dog you want to respect and listen to you go to disciplined dog trainer!
