When I decided to have a solar system installed, I met with several out-of-state companies that did work in Pennsylvania. After reading reviews, I decided that having a local company install and service the system was a priority. After searching, I found Ethical Energy and met with Kelly O’Brien. She was very helpful with my many questions and got the process started in July 2025. I started off with a home solar evaluation, which revealed a lot about my home and how the system would eventually be installed. Ethical Energy did everything from obtaining Homeowners Association approval and township permits to utility inspections, system design plans, and eventual installation. Ethical Energy’s installers are local and did a great job on a cool, windy November day. By the time the utility inspected the system and the new net meter was installed, it was well into January, and snow covered my roof. It is late March now, and the system has added over 600 kWhs to the grid. The Solar Edge app is great for monitoring the system. I am very satisfied with the system overall and surprised by how much power the system produces. I want to thank Kelli for all her help and for keeping in contact from my initial visit to checking in to see how the system is working.

I spoke with at least 10 different solar companies before moving forward, and while most panels and inverters are pretty similar, the real difference comes down to the company—and more importantly, the person guiding you.I chose Ethical Energy Solar because of Cory Ammerman. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely passionate about solar, and never came across as pushy or “salesy.” He took the time to answer all my questions, address concerns, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Very genuine and down to earth.I’ll admit—I was super skeptical about solar at first, but after going through this process, I’m definitely a believer now.I also had a tight deadline to get installed before the end of the year, and they made it happen. The overall process was smooth. Like any big project, there were a couple minor hiccups along the way, but that’s actually where Cory stood out the most—he was always responsive, quick to jump in, and made sure everything was handled. It really felt like he cared and had my best interest in mind.Shoutout to the tech Mark as well—he was awesome. Very professional, super helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up properly. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated.Since my install, even my neighbor has signed up with them.If you’re even just curious about solar, I highly recommend taking the time to speak with Cory—he’s a wealth of knowledge and will point you in the right direction without any pressure.Looking forward to peak production months!

The entire process was super easy and Corey was always available to answer questions whenever we had any. We have had ZERO issues since the panels were installed and we only have one regret...not doing this sooner!
