I bought graduation cookies for my son. They were so cute, affordable, and tasted great. I also had a lemon frosted shortbread cookie. The shortbread was buttery, with that hard to find combination of crisp but not overly crumbly. And, oh, the frosting! It had that tart lemon bite you get from lemon curd, with the sweetness of actual frosting. My husband and I used this bakery for our wedding cake and it was stellar. We had a 2 tier, chocolate and strawberry flavor. It was delicious and beautiful. I wanted it to have an aspen vibe with our initials “carved” into it and it’s exactly what I was wanting. This is my favorite bakery. I haven't tried anything I don't like . The cookies, cinnamon rolls, petite fours, swans, cannollies, and napolens are really good. I also love the eclairs, mini cakes, and nuns. However, the nuns this time around had a different cream, perhaps cut with ricotta? The texture was different than the usual silky cream, which is much better. I was also sold burned bostock once, but those are the only two somewhat negative experiences I've had. I still visit frequently and highly recommend this place to everyone. They also sell bread and gluten-free cupcakes! On nice days, there's usually a little table set up outside to enjoy your treats. No longer any tables inside, probably due to COVID, but I like the openness. It allows for more room on busy days. Less

It's the only place in the area I can find Napoleon pastries, or mille-feuille, and they were always good until today. The staff is terrific and this place has been in the same location for 31 years as of July 2018.First, all of the classic French offerings are beautifully made and it’s obvious it’s done with passion and love for the art of baking.On my first visit, I saw macaron variety, petit fours, baguette bread, palmiers, mousse extraordinaire, frosted cookies in a menagerie of summery shapes like frogs, caterpillars, whales, etc. There were tartlets, croissants, mini cakes, tortes, strudel, danish, cannoli both small and large, and probably a million things I didn’t see. Essentially there was a lovely array of French pastries with a touch of Italy, Austria, German and other influences at work.Second, the bakery appeared to have fresh vacuum canister coffee and I didn’t see an espresso machine so it’s obvious they focus on what they do very well.Third, they do custom orders. I bet they make an outstanding wedding or celebration cake. I had the grand marnier (orange liqueur) mousse gateau which had a beautiful texture and presentation.Finally, I am impressed and every little detail was true to European baking legendary standards.
