This is a lovely little park. Walking distance to a number of attractions. Caravan sites were good, great camp kitchen and communal fire pit is lit every day. Amenities are older but spotless with extra little touches such as bathmats. The only draw back was the trains, but after a night or 2 we didn't notice them.

We just stayed for 5 nights for the price of 4 nights with our dog in one their pet friendly fenced sites which are fantastic. The spotless amenities have bath mats, complimentary shampoo, heaters for those chilly mornings, the staff were so friendly & helpful. The camp ground is close to the town to walk to the main street and out for dinner. The sites are grassed, shady and flat, ideal for our swags. As a one night stay on our way to Melbourne, very handy. Host and Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful. Attention to detail. We arrived late and the heater was on for comfort etc. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore a highly rich history area

Really pleased with stay, Matt was prompt and assisted with finding cabin. Cabin had everything needed, clean and well laid out. Laundry facilities have both coin and swipe. Short walk to Woolworths and town. Picked as it a short jaunt to the Grampians from there. Recommend.

Kaylene and Matt are the most carefree humble owners. Nothing is too much. They provide bathmats in showers. Shampoo/conditioner, coffee machine, sites are huge and they help guide you in. We have stayed quite a few times and will continue to stay there. All amenities are spotless.

This is a great park. Unencumbered by jumping castles and high prices, the owners are very helpful and attentive to needs and details. Clean, a nice walk to town through the gardens. It is on a train line but that didn't worry us. Being winter, the communal firepit was a real bonus! Loved our stay there.

Only real negatives were Location is right on train track so the train noise is full on.... but earplugs fixed that. The fact you can't have your own camp fires in winter means it's a very cold stay with dogs as they aren't allowed in camp kitchen. (A gas heater on verandah might be a solution). Overall a very well run park with lovely owners who care about their guests' experience. Less

The owners are very accommodating the park and amenities are very clean and well maintained. We stayed at one of the caravan pet friendly sections however the noise from heavy duty trucks and freight trains disturbed our sleep. It would be wonderful if the local council could assist this local holiday park to subdue the noise. Apart from this, it’s a lovely caravan park to stay at.

Wonderful hosts at the park who stayed past office closing hours so that we could be booked in late. Caravan park has a well set up camp kitchen with coffee & tea available for guests. Simply the best caravan park I've stayed at. Everything is that extra step, that extra touch & the owner & staff are just so friendly...its superb. Stayed for work in a cabin. Very quiet caravan park save for the occasional train going past. Staff were very friendly. The cabin was perfect with good cooking facilities. Better than a motel room for the same price, if not cheaper. The room had beds for 2 adults and 4 kids, only 1 bathroom though. Only about 1km walk to main street, supermarket closer than that. I would stay here again.

Staff very friendly & helpfull (Barb) the c-park very wellkept, good ammenities, pet friendly. The only down point was the closeness of the train line and the highway withh all the potholes which rattled the multitude of passing trucks. This is one of the best parks we have experienced, and we travel 7 months per year. A first is that they have special sites fenced off for folks with dogs - just brilliant. A must stop for anyone passing through.

Great owners and staff. Arlo the Australian Terrier loved his yard and made some new friends.

We had a dog friendly site where your site is completely fenced in, a great idea. There is also a dog wash, bath mats in the showers, the camp kitchen has free tea, coffee and biscuits, the daily newspaper for you to read and a coffee machine and a communal fire pit. Matt was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this park.

This caravan park is awesome. We used their new pet friendly fenced sites. Sliding gates, great fencing which allowed us and our friends who were travelling with us to let our dogs out of our vans and they couldn't get out. Well done Matt and Kaylene, the owners who live on site, we will definitely be returning again.

Our unit was spotlessly clean, and the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The snacks and drinks at reception were a great idea, and the range of toiletries and personal care items were excellent, especially for a caravan park. We were there for the Labour Day long weekend, and the park was full, but we didn't hear any noise from other guests. I would highly recommend Acacia.

I was lucky enough to have a fenced pet site and honestly it was so good. Not sure if my dogs or myself were the happiest. I would definitely recommend a stay here when you are in Ararat.

Too much traffic noise. Should have drive through areas so visitors don't have to unhitch their caravans for one night stay. Shower cubicles too small and have no seating in drying area. Censor lights very good around the park.

Lovely little caravan park. Staff very helpful and nice clean facilities. Even provided a pile of clean bath mats for stepping out of the shower.

We were very happy with the service and the well equipped cabin, including modern TVs with excellent reception in each room, free wi-fi, Netflix, all utensils and cutlery, a great little kitchenette and a great shower. We were also given a keycard to access the parks outside amenities/facilities if needed

Nice clean park all round. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they also called me to see if I was travelling ok due to the bad weather! Highly recommend staying here!

Thoroughly enjoyed our little stopover. Cabins were clean and tidy and beds were comfortable. Front cabins are noisy because of main road but nothing that a little white noise didn’t cover. I would recommend!!

Great modern cabins. Close to town. Value ++ We arrived late. Staff called us, had cabin clear and heated for us 😊. Great service. Only down points: Beds are only DOUBLES ( short/small) as advertised. Next to train line . Bathroom smelt damp. However still a fantastic park. Good stop over to Melbourne. Dint miss the Gardens Lake Cafe 10min walk.

Loved our stay at Acacia Caravan/Cabin. They were sooooo pretty tiny cabin, loved the smell when we arrived at the cabin. Best hot shower ever we had, cute kitchen and living room. The beds is so comfortable. So tidy and clean. My kids absolutely loved playing at the park. We definitely will come back again. Highly recommended!!! 😊😊 from Sydney.

Great little park, super friendly people, really pet friendly which is awesome in my opinion....great little touches like fresh bath mats for each shower, a dog park specifically to let your pet run around. Firewood supplied for fire pit...these people have thought of everything. Nice!!!

Absolutely LOVED our stay! Reception staff were full of knowledge of things to see and do, even restaurants. Heater was on so our room was perfectly warm when we arrived. Even had a fire drum lit in a community area. Electric blankets provided and most definitely one of the best nights sleep on the comfiest bed and pillows. Acacia Caravan Park is a lovely clean park to stay in. We always stay in a family cabin and it is always clean and comfortable. The staff are always friendly and happy to help and answer any questions. The park ammenities are excellent and the grounds eat and tidy. I highly recommend this park.

Fantastic park. From the moment we were checked in by a very informative, nice Lady, our experience couldn’t get any better. They provide biscuits/tea/ coffee in the well appointed Camp Kitchen. Bath mats provided for your shower. Fire pit lit in the afternoon for you to linger around ( wood provided for you to keep going ). We would certainly recommend a stay here. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻

Kaylene and Matt run the most well organised caravan park we have ever stayed in. Bath mats, heaters in the amenities block and a very equipped kitchen. And both are good people too. Stumpy and Maz.

Welcomed by Matt, lovely man. HOT showers, bath & bath mats, camp kitchen is fabulous. Coffee machine, free biscuits. Couch so you can comfortably watch TV. Amenities are very clean. The park is well looked after. We chose because it's close to town. Big plus camp is licensed so if you want a bottle wine with dinner go no further.

Great park in a nice town. We were on a powered site. Smaller and older park but all facilities well maintained and resourced. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again

One of the best caravan parks we have ever stayed in. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need and Kaylene and Matt even supplied tea, coffee and biscuits. Bathroom was very clean with bath mats at our disposal. Fire bucket and fire wood at ready for those cold nights.

Stayed the 1 night. Great greeting from Barb. Great facilities for a small park. Even had complimentary floor towels for showers. Dog wash. Pool. Fire pit burning. Great compact camp kitchen grounds neat n tidy has electric car plug in & more. Would happy return. Site rates reasonable too

Amazing place. Cosy spacious cabin that looks only deceptively small from the outside, it has many beds and a relatively huge toilet. Staff at the office is amazing (couldn’t rmb her name but it was 14 may night time), we gave her an extra 100 by accident and she came by twice to return it to us.

Staff/owners and amazing and welcoming, even before you arrive. Very neat and tidy little park with good kitchen, pool etc. Toliets were cleanest I've seen for ages, even bath towels available and a heater. Just the shower cubicles a little too small.

Gorgeous little park. Facilities Amenities: great water pressure for showers, a clean bath mat to use on top of raised wooden mat, wash basin area always pristine, even has a bath! Laundry: 2 washers 2 dryers, $3 a load with good hot temp. ironing facilities ( sorry ran out of time lol)

Excellent hosts nothing too much trouble. Fully stocked camp kitchen available. Bathmats provided for individual use. Park had extra facilities giant chess game totem tennis and a very clean pool.

We were impressed with our cabin, staff and facilities. We only had one day but enjoyed our stay. Having the cabin air conditioner already turned on when we arrived was a nice touch

This was a lovely park to stay at. All staff were very helpful throughout our stay. We had the fenced off site which was great as it gave our dog the freedom to move.

Very large (wide and long) grassy and shady sites. Pool and playground. Enclosed yards for pets. Walking distance to town and local park. The managers are very helpful, helping people to back onto sites and suggesting places to visit.

Really enjoyed Acacia CP, Ararat. So clean. Books, toys, pool and bath were a hit with grandchild. Well resourced campers kitchen. Did wish the flickering Christmas lights turned off at night as the skylight flickers were disturbing

Our first stop in our new van. The people at Acacia were very welcoming and friendly. Helpful with information about Ararat. The amenities block was very clean with good, hot showers. I would recommend this park for a stopover or a week with kids as they have good facilities for kids.

Very positive experience. Stayed in one of the 2br cabin units. Very clean, good linen and towels. Generally well appointed and comfortable. Would happily stay there again.

Fantastic management and staff. Very clean and tidy. Nothing was an imposition very friendly always greeted with a wave and hello. Pet friendly with a dog wash too. Highly recommended.
