Wir waren während unseres New-York-Aufenthalts gleich zweimal hier, weil es uns beim ersten Besuch schon komplett überzeugt hat – und auch beim zweiten Mal wieder genauso.Die Speisen sind durchweg unglaublich lecker, sehr kreativ zusammengestellt und wirken qualitativ extrem hochwertig und frisch. Geschmacklich gehört das definitiv zu den besten asiatischen Restaurants, in denen wir je gegessen haben.Auch das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll und modern gestaltet, das Personal durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich einfach direkt willkommen. Selbst die Toiletten sind sauber und passend zum Gesamtbild.Preislich ist das Ganze für New Yorker Verhältnisse absolut fair.Ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt: Alle Gerichte sind vegan, wodurch kein unnötiges Tierleid entsteht.Klare Empfehlung – ein rundum herausragendes Restaurant!

I visited Spicy Moon Bowery and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere immediately made me feel at home. I tried several dishes, and each one was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spiced. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, enhancing the overall visit. It’s a great spot for authentic and satisfying Chinese cuisine, and I’ll definitely return next time I’m in New York.

I love Spicy Moon and have been coming to their East Village location for years. Their Chelsea restaurant is wonderful, too. Bowery is the only one I avoid at all costs. Why? For reasons indecipherable to any reasonable person, the owners have decided that this should be a “clubstaurant”.Example? My experience there today, which was just mind-boggling. Let me paint the picture: it’s noon on a Sunday. The place is 70% empty. The few tables that are occupied are mostly families with young children. Yet the managers made the choice to play an obnoxious playlist of student club songs of the early 2000s. The kind that no actually good club would play: “My anaconda don’t”, “Turn down for what”, “sexyback”… I was hoping for a leisurely Sunday lunch, especially since they were advertising their Easter brunch menu, but instead I ate half of my kung pao in a hurry and left. The food is great but not worth the obnoxious atmosphere.
