“New management” no longer honors old gift cards even though the gift card said valid for one year. In my opinion, this is terrible business. Notify customers prior to booking service that gift cards won’t be accepted even though it is the same business under the same name. There are plenty of other places to get a massage or facial in St Pete. Go somewhere else. Edited to add: the new owner’s response is a blatant lie. I have never used the gift card. Unbelievable. Today I had my first massage in forever. When I got there it was late in the day. The atmosphere was intimate and calming. It was also very clean. From the moment I walked in the receptionist was so warm and welcoming. I had my massage with Alesanjdra (sorry if I'm spelling your name wrong). She was phenomenal. She TRULY knows her craft. I had a deep tissue massage and it felt AMAZING. I was more than pleased that I'd come to the Tranquility and Wellness Spa. Thank you BOTH for making my first experience one I'll cherish. I had an amazing massage with Shanese Robinson @ Tranquility Wellness Spa for a relaxation massage. I added aromatherapy, hot stone & and scalp massage. She is very professional and would ask if the pressure is too soft or too strong, and apply based on your preference. She can be gentle but also strong if needed. Shanese energy is very professionaland so sweet. She is sort of like an empath with some positive Reiki healing energy. She would have a sense of your health issues just by touching you. I definitely will be back in the near future and will be referring family and acquaintances to Shanese. Less

BUYERS BEWARE!!! My card was charged for 430.00 after appointment was cancelled days before. I called to change appointment and was told my appointment was made for a date after we left Florida. Multiple attempts to reach owner was ignored. When I did reach her she stated that she could not find any record of my call. She was nasty and very rude. Did not even try to reach any sort of agreement. NEVER GO THERE!!!!! Less

I’ve come to Tranquility for years and can’t say enough good things about the owner and manger, Jen, the facility and the upgrades they’ve done, everyone on staff - special shout out to Shanese who gave me the best massage ever! Also Jen does amazing lashes - I highly recommend. Just moved to the area and in the last couple weeks I’ve had a head/neck/shoulder massage, and a Brazilian wax, both happened to be with Bella. All the staff I’ve met have been lovely. I’d def recommend splurging on the full hour massage as the 25min shoulder massage was great but it just didn’t feel like enough time. 10/10 wax experience, the closest to pain-free that I’ve ever had so if you’re looking for a comfortable wax this is the place, ask for Bella! :) Less

I have been coming here for almost 4 years for services. Today I came In for a fill in and a Bikini wax. I received the most racist treatment you can ever receive. I received my fill in and the technician was nice and professional. But when it was time for the Bikini wax I was denied services after waiting another 30 minutes , to see other customers get waxing services before me, when I finally asked the receptionist what was going on , 2 technicians refused to do my bikini wax. I hve watch this salon go downhill, with unprofessional behavior extremely loud conversations coming from Technicians to when I spoke to my technician she couldn’t hear me. I also told the receptionist to call the manager she said shecouldn’t reach her, then when I tried to make an appointment with the manager she couldn’t give me one. I will definitely be taking legal action. Less

I got an amazing deep tissue massage from Tammy!! I asked for a firm massage and boy did she deliver but she was definitely able to back it down on areas that didn't need a firm touch! Highly recommend! Beautiful, calming space. And Audrey the receptionist was equally amazing. My massage was a last minute gift from my husband but I never felt rushed when I checked in and the checkout process was smooth and seamless. Great first and last impression of an amazing experience. Tammy is absolutely magical! Truly gives some of the best massages I've ever had, and knows EXACTLY where I'm sore. Her deep tissue is DEEP, almost like physical therapy, and will fully release even your worst knots. She listens to what you want and customizes your massage to exactly what you need. Her relaxation massage is lighter but definitely not too light (in fact, I'd say it's perfect and still gets out all tension). I'll absolutely be back! Less

This was a pretty terrible Massage. I had come here in the past and it was great. She did not ask me what I was there for or any questions prior. No warm up on muscles, inconsistent pressure. Areas that needed it were not getting pressure and I was verbal about. It felt like a total beginner who didn’t know what they were doing. When I went to leave no one asked me how it was. My family gets massage often and lives nearby and I would not recommend them here anymore. I told the manager what happened and she just said she’s on it. No help or resolution offered at all. Less

Hands down, STILL the best spa in St. Pete. This local gem has been around for a long time and has always been my go-to for years and will continue to be so. I’ve tried the other spas that have come on the scene and none have come close to the relaxing and nurturing experience that I have at Tranquility. Nurturing being the most important part. The stars of the show are the therapists that work here: Always warm, welcoming and consistently give the best services. The spa is calm, tranquil, spotlessly clean, and a pleasure to experience. A lot of love has been put into the new renovation and I truly love coming here. I’ve purchased the membership, which I feel is an incredible value for what you are receiving and I look forward to every service. I’ve been a loyal customer here for years and the service has always been great. In the time I’ve been coming here I’ve never once had to cancel an appointment the day of, but I had a situation where I woke up with what looked like a highly contagious skin condition of the day of a massage appointment. I called as soon as they opened to cancel out of concern of potentially spreading something to the massage therapist. I’m aware of their cancellation policy, but I was hoping an exception could be made since I was trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately they weren’t willing to make an exception and charged me for 50% of the service. Hopefully that money was worth the loss of all my future business. Less

I was very disappointed with this spa. I don't often spoil myself with spa services, they are expensive and finding time for myself is not easily done. The spa is very run down. The staff was very nice but they don't wear uniforms which overall looks very unprofessional. Especially given how much you are spending on services. I was not offered a robe. The massage table was cheap and old, much like the appearance of the room. The vinyl was flaking off the mattress and it was very hard and uncomfortable so my back was aching by the end of the service. The esthetician while knowledgeable and very nice, was wearing jeans and a hoodie and smelled strongly of weed. The room was a mess when the service was over and they don't offer you a glass of water afterwards. They are charging services at the same price point as that of Woodhouse Spa or the spa at the Don Cesar, both of which are in another league of service compared to this place. Spending a lot of money on a bad experience is not worth it. Less

I just did a facial service and it was great but have decided to go elsewhere for massages. My last massage here was not good. Original review: I’ve been getting massages from Tranquility Wellness Spa for quite a few years now, and it’s my go-to for spa for massages in Downtown St. Petersburg. Anne, the owner, is very lovely and welcoming. Sheila, my massage therapist, is excellent at her job. I look forward to each visit with her. They have a great monthly massage package, as well. Less
