My son started taking lessons in June 2025 and we love this place. He’s a timid kid and coaches are patient and kind. We’ve tried other sports and the vibe was super competitive and stressful for a 5 year old. Nishime Martial Arts coaches are always building kids up and my kid loves achieving his next stripe. His confidence has grown so much and it’s helped in areas outside of karate, too. This is a bit of a drive for us, but 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

I have 2 kiddos in the mighty mites program. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient especially with my son who is difficult. My kids are always excited to join in on class. I have seen a substantial increase in my daughters confidence in herself and her ability to stick up for herself and her friends. The program not only teaches self defense but discipline, confidence, courage, team work, Japanese and temper management. This is the place to go in NKY for a quality program.

Tanner has been attending Nishime Martial Arts since 2021. He started with the mighty might program at the Florence Dojo. I can’t say enough good about Nishime . Tanners self control and confidence has definitely improved since becoming a student . He has learned so many skills that will not only help him with self defense but also with every day life . The instructors Drew , Cole , Aiden , and Jacob are great also !! It’s obvious they have a passion for teaching the kids. They connect not only with Tanner but with each child individually. I couldn’t ask for better role models for Tanner . We are so blessed to have Tanner in Nishime . They truly care about the students and teaching them

My 5 year old LOVES his karate class at Nishime. He loves having something to look forward to with earning stripes on his belt. They are so patient and kind with the kids and we look forward to going each week.

We have been going to Nishime in Florence for almost two years and my son loves it! The instructors work so well with the younger kids and allow them to build their confidence while also learning valuable skills in the process. We highly recommend!

Our daughter absolutely loves and looks forward to the days that she has jiu jitsu class. She has learned so much already in such a short time and we’ve noticed a big boost in her confidence. She has finally found something she’s passionate about! Shihan Jason does a great job at creating an environment where the children are interested and motivated to learn.

The family is very nice. My daughter looks forward to going to her karate classes every week. They do an amazing job at keeping the kids entertained. We love the activities that they put together to win prizes.

My son started going to Nishime Martial Arts about a little more than a year ago and karate has become his constant favorite activity. The practice is great and the instructors are knowledgeable and super nice. The dojo also has several fun activities for the kids throughout the year. Logan has been taking classes here since he turned 4 and loves it. They do a great job at making it fun and easy for the little ones to focus. He has really come out of his shell and has learned a lot. I appreciate that the Nishime family has put a lot of effort into improving communication and organizing events for everyone to enjoy!

I have been participating in the Adult Karate program at Nishime for a number of years, and just recently started the Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program. I can’t speak highly enough about how Nishime Martial Arts has transformed my life from all aspects - mind, body and spirit. As an older adult, the Nishime family and my fellow practitioners have been very accommodating, it is truly a “Family First” environment, and I would encourage anyone who wants to improve themselves to come and be part of the Family.

first day of karate n bjj training been out for almost 8 year's of training. Jason is a great sensei very humble n detail on techniques. I am looking forward to learning from him n his dad by the way I am from Texas. I train with great people, but this is awesome! stay blessed

My son is absolutely thriving at Nishime Martial Arts! I have never seen him enjoy something so much which makes my heart full. He needed a controlled release of energy which this provides. The atmosphere created by the Nishime family is conducive for students of all ages to learn martial arts. I have known the family going on 30 years and it has been an honor to study with Shihan. I couldn’t recommend these studios more highly!
