Of all the gyms I've been to, this is by far my FAVORITE OF ALL!! I've been going here for 3 months now--I cannot overstate how amazing it is! They meet you at YOUR level! You can never be too "out-of-shape" or "in-shape" to join this gym! Workouts are always challenging, but also always easy to scale down to those less fit. 3. It is a community! Everyone there is willing to become friends and help you out to give you the motivation to keep going. 4. It is CLEAN. This shouldn't be a problem like it is, but I have gone to gyms that are not regularly cleaned and not only is it dangerous for healthy and safety, it is seriously off-putting to find someone--especially a business--that doesn't keep things clean! 5. The coaches don't push you past your limit. They are well aware of the injury that occurs when you push yourself too hard. When they see your form or stability being to falter, they are quick to notice and lighten the weight as they know form comes first. One of the best CrossFit gyms out there! 6. When you are new, coaches always introduce themselves and the class so you never feel on your own. I did not feel weird at my first class at all here (like I have in other places)--I felt like I was immediately friends with the coaches and other CrossFitters! In only THREE months of going to this gym regularly, I've noticed: 1. I have more energy and am so ready to tackle the days tasks and challenges! 2. I am starting to see my arms and legs become more toned. 3. I have been able to tackle tasks more easily given the mental change--pushing myself to do things that are out of my comfort zone. Learning to discipline myself. 3. I have higher self-esteem (not typically a problem for me anyway but thought I might as well include.) 4. I feel GOOD. Mentally, physically, spiritually... it feels good to know I am doing something good for myself. 5. It has become a game. I am constantly looking forward to more workouts and improving to hit more PRs and become more fit! A typical class looks like this: At the time the class is appointed to start, the coach brings the class over to the whiteboard and goes over the workout and answers any questions. As they go over the movements, they demonstrate each workout so we know what we're doing. The coach then starts the class with a warmup to get our heart rates up. We then all go through the movements together, while the coach watches individually every person to make sure they have proper form. Once all the movements have been gone over, the coaches go one-on-one with each athlete in the class to discuss scaling options. We do a quick warmup with less reps than in the workout, get a whiteboard, write down our workouts, and we start the clock. Depending on the length and intensity of the met-con, there are one or two portions in the overall workout. A weightlifting portion and a met-con. Which one starts also varies, but given the warmup and demos, you know exactly what you're doing!! 10/10, can't find a negative thing about this place. The money is 100% worth it. Less
