Had an issue with my hot water tank, and I gave them a call. Their personnel showed earlier before the scheduled time and fixed it immediately because he came prepared with parts. Also, they work with manufacturers. If you still have a warranty, call them. Great company that knows their onions.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. No one likes to find their water heater leaking; however, our water heater was 12 years old and the leak was small. It was Saturday morning and we saw the leak as we were getting our Christmas decorations out. I called City Wide Water Heater Service and talked to a lovely person that was knowledgeable. She asked proper questions and had the technician pick up the correct water heater on the way to my house. Jordan arrived a few hours later with the water heater and we had the new one working in no time. Jordan was excellent and provided a quick and professional response. The way he replaced the water heater was amazing as he did it all himself. The water heater is not in a convenient location yet he was able to get the old out and the new one in without difficulty. So considerate! It turned out that something had overloaded and I did for sure need a repair. They sent out a very helpful and friendly tech who was really upfront about what the issue was and what all my options were. We were able to do a temporary repair, but he made sure I know it wasn't going to be a long term fix as my old tank was on it's way out. I was super happy with the service and repair - and their price we very reasonable with no extra change for weekends. Indeed, as they let me know my old tank wasn't going to last much longer. But that repair gave me time to research all the options for a replacement - so much better than trying to pick something in a rush just to get the water working again. So, when the old tank started leaking I was well informed and confident in my replacement plan. Which brings us to... AeroTherm Heat Pump Water Heater: Five Stars Obviously this is new, and I will update periodically - but I LOVE this thing already. And I never expected to have strong opinions on hot water tanks. The setting and controls are super easy. Unlike most tanks that seem to have a little dial under a cover that doesn't look like you're supposed to open it this has a digital interface on the exterior. If you're going to need a lot of hot water in a short time (bunch of guests over or something) you can set it to one mode to maximize that. But when you're just doing every day life you can set it to another mode to use the least power required to supply your needs and save power/money. Yes - this tech costs more up front because it doesn't currently have the same economies of scale that traditional tanks have. However it costs less to operate and doesn't have any of the health and safety issues that haunt gas powered hot water heaters. PLUS - you are reading this is the FUTURE from when I wrote it and the costs of this tech decreases over time. The warranty is great and City Wide is fantastic to work with if I ever have questions or issues. Less

Prompt hot water replacement. Cleaned up afterward, great communication. Contact centre has been very helpful as well as I wasn’t sure if hydro would want to take the old tank as we were on the rental program with them. Have used them twice now. Very professional and friendly. Give you all the options available with very helpful advice, specially with the new Hydro chimney codes. While wearing a mask all the time Evan set to work and within a very short time the new tank was installed and he had answered all our questions. He also gave us the paperwork to arrange Mb. Hydro financing and took the old tank out and he set up disposal. We needed an adjustment made to our chimney and he made arrangements for that as well. Riley from Belcore Construction took care of the chimney the next day and someone picked up the old tank as well. The process could not have gone smoother. Thought I had to replace the water heater. When the Tech showed up and I explained what was happening he said it probably just needed the vent valve replaced. Seems to have solved the problem so I'm very happy.

Tech set up electrician internally and scheduled for same day installation. Made application for the Manitoba Hydro Loan Program quick and simple.

My 18 year old water heater leaking unexpectedly and noticed it at 9 pm, replaced the next day. The City Wide office staff was amazing, calm and organized. The onsite worker was efficient and informative. Fantastic service.

Evan and his assistant who came to our place last night to replace our broken water heater were knowledgeable and not-pushy (e.g. when it came to pricing). I came home Friday night with a flooded basement. City Wide was over in three hours and replaced my water tank. They charge the same amount no matter what time or day if the week. I think that’s excellent. Definitely would recommend.

He checked for negative pressure - nothing. He cleaned filter and flue - was not that dirty so he didn't charge me (normally $60). But he noted the flue baffle and foam gasket on the access door to the filter showed signs of overheating. The foam gasket on the access door had orangey- brown burnt tinge and was dry and hard. He figured the foam was drying/disintegrating (bits were missing) allowing some hot air to escape that way and thus drawing more and more hot air that way so that it damaged/trip the over temp, which was on the access door. So I guess some heat escaping that way also meant higher (than normal) heat was needed to heat the water. Foam gasket was replaced and hoping that was it. Total cost $133. Jordan was a pleasure to deal with and we talked old school stuff like floppy disks and Pokemon cards while he went about his work :) Thanks Jordan! Less

They quoted me all of the costs and challenges in advance for replacing the tank in an older home like mine, and did not hit me with any surprises after. I called on Saturday morning and spoke with Shelley and she was amazing explaining all my options. I had my new tank installed on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m., the installer, Neale, was prompt, courteous, friendly, and efficient.

My hot water tank leaked late on a Monday evening and by Tuesday morning I had a new one installed. Mike identified a serious problem with the previous gas install, recommended a solution that would effectively solve the issue of the previous install. Awesome work plus great customer service. My tank stopped heating and rather than charging me for something relatively simple Mike was able to walk me through getting my tank working again over the phone, no charge!
