The absolute best dental office!! The inside is beautiful, clean, and so welcoming. Shirley at the front is incredibly kind and always helpful. I typically see Heather as my hygienist and she is fantastic always giving great recommendations and making sure I’m comfortable throughout. I typically see Dr. Cohen when I come in and he’s also great! Thorough, providing helpful insight, but never shaming for any adjustments needed to my own oral hygiene routine. I used to always be nervous going to my dental appointments before Smiles By Design, but now I am relaxed and actually look forward to coming in. The staff and facility is truly top notch and I am so grateful to have found such a great dentist in SD!🫶🏾

I’ve been coming to Smiles By Design for a few years now, and I am locked in for life! I unfortunately have the bad gums genetics, my gums/pockets were bad when I first started my visits, and I am so happy and relieved that they are back to normal and get better with each visit. I truly can’t thank Dr J and Heather enough for getting my teeth and gums right. Shirley and Erica at the front are the best, they are always so friendly and nice, and super helpful! Also, can’t forget to mention how immaculate the office is, I mean you don’t usually find yourself talking about the bathroom at the dentist’s office, but it’s top tier. I recommend Smiles By Design to all of my friends and family!

Best dentist ive ever gone to in my life. Honest caring, not pushy at all.

I am not an easy patient, but Dr Javaheri (Dr J) knows how to make me feel comfortable. He is honest, gentle and listens to my concerns. He is deeply invested in his patients, and does not take advantage by doing unnecessary work. He did my Invisalign 5 years ago and a couple of months ago, one bracket of my permanent retainer came off, casing my 1 tooth to shift within weeks. His receptionist, Erica knows how difficult I can be and she’s always patient and lovely to me.I AM SHOCKED THAT THEY HAVE NOT FIRED ME AS A PATIENT!!!

Makes every visit easy, chill, and actually enjoyable. The hygienists are amazing, the staff is amazing, the vibes are amazing. Just genuinely great people who care and do their jobs really well.Absolute mint establishment.

I want to give a special shoutout to my orthodontist, Dr. Cody Cohen, who is incredibly friendly and professional. Also, Erika at the front desk is fantastic—she is always helpful and ready to assist with any situation that comes up during treatment. If you are looking for orthodontic care in San Diego, I 100% recommend them!

I’ve been going here for years and years. I love chatting with the front desk attendants, the dentists, the assistants. They’re professional and I’ve never been pushed into dental procedures or extra expenses that I didn’t show interest in. The offices are bright and clean, and many of the rooms have big windows looking out on our local sycamore trees. I simply cannot relate to people having dentist issues thanks to this team.

I am extremely happy with this dental office. I have a very real fear of the dentist. Everyone I encountered made me feel heard and worked with me to overcome my fears. I was kept informed. I was told costs upfront. No one tried to sell me on services I didn't ask for. Thank you for taking such good care of me. My fear is still there but you helped me through it.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with I hate going to the dentist 😂. I was referred to Smiles By Design and honestly from the initial booking and intake call to having my wisdom tooth pulled and other work the experience was nothing short of professional, welcoming and everyone from the front to back office made me feel like family and at ease. Not to mention the restroom is top tier 😂. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate everyone in the office! Thank you all for making every one of my trips a pleasant experience!
