Anyone looking for a good place to do semi-private strength and fitness training, I highly recommend Lapine Fitness. The owner, Paul Lapine, has really figured out a perfect formula for small, intimate, and well-structured training in a semi-private format. From my first online meeting with him, I knew LFS was going to offer high quality training, and I was right! I'm working with Emilio, who has developed a routine for me that is focused on building strength and bone density, and even after three weeks, I am already feel that my form has improved and I have already gained strength. LPS also offers nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian, which is something most places don't offer. If you want the full fitness package, this place is great, especially if you don't like the crowded, noisy gym culture. The location is perfect for anyone living in Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Gowanus, and even Red Hook. The universal praise for Lapine Fitness is well earned. Paul, Jos and Emilio are all fantastic and the training truly feels bespoke. The best option I have found in my area (Park Slope) but worth coming out for if you can make it a part of your regular practice. They care about their clients and their development and know their stuff.

Since Paul is certified, I asked if he could watch me and make sure that wouldn’t happen. In just a few sessions, he not only made me confident that I could do these movements every day with heavier weight than I initially thought and showed me how to utilize more parts of my body during the exercises, but he identified some weaknesses in various rotations in my body and gave me some simple (but challenging) exercises to improve my trouble areas. It’s been 5 months and I’ve never felt more confident in my body. Now I’m obsessed with doing CARSs and have seen a great improvement in my general mobility. Thanks, Paul! Less

This training facility is unique in that it is a truly 1-on-1 personalized approach to fitness. The space is well equipped, clean, and private. I recently had a great boxing workout here! There is also access to a squat rack, dumbbells and kettlebells, and more- all the classics that you need to become strong and healthy! Highly recommend training here with one of their skilled personal trainers!

Paul was professional and made me feel comfortable. The gym was clean and he wiped down the equipment after I was finished with it. He was patient, demonstrated and explained the purpose of the exercises before he had me do them! I am definitely going back again and will recommend him to my friends and family!!!

Lifesaver during this season. There are cleaning and tracing protocols put in place to protect clients and trainers. Paul is amazing. He has put in place a program to meet me where I was and I see progress weekly and can say I am finally pursuing my goal of being a healthier me.

I love working out with Paul! He’s really dynamic and can build a workout that’s perfect for you and your fitness level. I started out doing a group workout class with friends, pre Covid, and that lead to a couple of two on one sessions with him and my best friend. Best excuse to workout and catch up, and done so in a way that left us able to still talk without being too out of breathe but still sweating by the end of it. Now I do weekly virtual workouts with him and my boyfriend and he really helps to hold us accountable and is great at pivoting if we don’t have the right equipment, are super stressed that day or even just adapting to both of our needs. Had a really good training session with Paul! It was my first time going to a workout in awhile due to COVID so I was a bit nervous if I could keep up but Paul was super patient and helpful with tailoring the workout to be just right. He's a wonderfully nice, professional person and I would highly recommend his services!
Attended a great outdoor workout class led by Paul Lapine. He was super nice and friendly from the get go. The class itself was a mix of exercises, so never got boring, plus went by super fast. It was also easy to tailor to the different skill levels. I was definitely sore the next day, a sign of a great workout :) Highly recommend to anyone !
