We were nervous about the building experience as first-time builders, but the team at Williams Designer Homes made the whole process enjoyable. They were always approachable, and were fast to action anything needed throughout our build. Our house was finished on time and to a high quality standard, and the few small maintenance issues we’ve had since handover have been actioned and resolved quickly.I think it’s rare to finish building a house and actually miss the building process, because it was fun and exciting -and not stressful! If we ever do build again, we would use Williams Designer Homes without hesitation.

The granny flat is now complete and we have fully moved in. We’ve already hosted friends and family, cooking and serving meals in the kitchen and spending time together on the deck and patio. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many compliments on both the layout and the overall feel of the space.What we are living in today is the result of close collaboration between design intent and practical execution, and the final outcome is a wonderful living space. The build achieves a strong sense of openness and connection between indoors and outdoors, maximises usable space, and maintains clear separation and privacy between zones. Most importantly, no area feels compromised or boxed in — a testament to how well the architectural vision was carried through during construction.I want to acknowledge how well the build team executed the architectural design, while also contributing valuable suggestions along the way. The cost-saving measures and innovative use of alternative materials — particularly to meet BASIX requirements — were thoughtful, practical, and never at the expense of quality or design integrity. The development application process was handled smoothly, and the overall build progressed efficiently, with scheduling clearly responsive to weather conditions and all works completed to specification.Throughout the process, I greatly appreciated the team’s patience and support when accommodating my change requests, many of which were implemented very economically. Every decision was clearly explained, which made the process transparent and reassuring. The professionalism shown on site and in communication made a complex process feel manageable.I’ve been especially impressed with Mark, who has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions. His attention to detail and commitment to getting things right truly stand out and have made a noticeable difference to the final result. I would also like to give special thanks to Jodie for her help with material and colour selections. Her advice significantly improved the overall space, and she played a key role in turning our space-saving bathroom ideas into a practical and well-resolved reality.The builder has every reason to be proud of the outcome. The space is small yet feels generous; modest yet comfortable. It is beautifully sunlit, highly functional, and sits naturally within the surrounding greenery. The number of compliments we’ve received from friends — including those with building and design experience — reinforces just how successful this project has been.Thank you to the entire build team for the care, skill, and professionalism you brought to this project. It has been a genuinely positive experience, and we are thoroughly enjoying living in the space you delivered.

We can not recommend Tony and he’s team enough. We have now built two houses with William Designer Homes. A second because their work is quality and the journey throughout the build was enjoyable.You think designer home or private builder cost more but once you really break it down and do your research they don’t.They provided an individual experience along the way. Nothing was too hard or couldn’t be done, nothing!We are incredibly happy with our build and can’t not recommend highly enough Williams Designer Homes and the genuine team we worked with along the way. We have this beautiful home but it’s a little sad the experience is over.
