Great people and very helpful! My appointment was at 9:30 AM, but my calendar said 1:30 PM. They squeezed me in and we’re very accommodating.

Dr Leon went over the echo of my heart and sonogram of my carotid arteries with me. He explained the results in a language that was easy to understand and took the time to respond to all my questions. He also did a physical assessment on me.

All was good except for this one staff came in and sat down and started to use the computer. She didn't introduce herself or tell me why she was there. After a couple of minutes I asked her and she said she was a nurse and acted as if I interrupted her life. No more interaction was done. She just walked out of the room.

If the Dr is going to order labs every two weeks then follow through with reading the labs not just ordering the labs because the labs need to be looked at and reviewed not just ordered because the lab levels are important in order to save a patient's life. When you tell a patient that you are going to refer them to a heart transplant team for years and never do I suggest you actually do and don't get their hopes up and when you put them on a heart catheter and tell them that's what they have to be on it for the rest of their life and give them absolutely no hope. Thankful to have Dr. Leon that has taken care of my mothers cardiovascular health since 2009. He has always been present when needed at all times and her health has been his priority. Our family so appreciates his quick response to always respond to our concerns.

As a medical professional in training I know how busy clinical work can be, but still I didn't feel much freedom to have conversation based on my concerns. My biggest concern was with the front office who twice called stating I missed my appointment and requested missed appointment fees when I had set different appointment times than they scheduled me for. I was also given the expectation by the front desk that charges for the testing I received would amount to one fourth of the actual cost. I paid for testing in the clinic and received a hefty bill two weeks later. This is not acceptable to me by any standard. Less
