Michael, the owner of the company was highly professional and did well with the overall completion of 'the work'. 'The project', however, was not up to standard. I've spent countless hours removing over spray and splatter, which could have been avoided by a trip to Dollarama and $20 worth of masking. Garbage was left at my residence, damaged areas unaddressed unless I prompted remediation, poor project cleaning, and X2 miscommunications between myself and my real estate agent (ie Michael told them XYX but never told myself). Some of his workers began painting an area that was out of scope, which is of course appreciated. That said, Michael kept framing this as a 'favour', and in my opinion, it affected the in-scope quality of the project negatively. Damage was made to my hardwood floors from a lack of basic care (using a stepladder that was not company supplied and carelessly ignoring a missing pad) , and much like the poor masking work, this left me with a less than favourable impression. He did attempt to remediate, and I credit him on that front. All I can say is that nobody appreciates having their floor damaged and spending hours cleaning up overspray from a lack of contractor detail. At the price point, which was fair for both parties, I expected better project management. That said, the actual paint work was indeed well performed. I think he just might need better crew management in the future.

We were truly happy with the work done by Michael and his crew. Not only were they on time, but their setup and take down was tody and proficient. The painting was done with clean lines and thorough coverage of walled areas.

Moved into a 3 floor townhouse a few months ago. Had wonderful movers, however moving 4 full bedrooms sets and downsizing resulted in alot of nicks and dings on my walls.Have very high ceilings. Just needed a fresh coat of paint after I filled most of the holes/nicks and dings that were on my walls.Came across Altona Painting by a recommendation on a Whitby Facebook group.Michael Cappa (owner) returned my text message right away. We set up an appointment for the next day and he visited my home for a quote.A few days later (just before xmas), Michael and two of his team members, Andrew and Darnelle were painting my walls. Even with my boys being home, they stopped and worked around us if we needed to go upstairs or back downstairs.Very friendly and professional. Paid a great price too. Michael worked around my budget!

Altona Painting is the best. We recently had our popcorn ceiling removed and the main floor of our house painted and we're glad we chose Altona Painting! When they started work on the ceiling they discovered some unforeseen structural problems. They made the appropriate repairs, and did an excellent job. The crew was efficient and very friendly - a pleasure to have in our home. The work they did was fantastic. We definitely give them a thumbs up!

Altona Painting far exceeded our expectations. From my initial contact with Michael, I felt this would be a worth while investment. Michael is extremely thorough in the quoting process and happy to work to customize your project. We had kitchen cabinets that were a dated colour but in good shape. After getting some quotes to replace the door and drawer fronts, we felt it just wouldnt look as good, we decided to work with Alton Painting. The entire pricess was seamless, great communication, quick yet thorough workers who were clean and polite, and a finish that looks too good to be true! The team did an excellent job prepping the walls to perfection before painting all the interior walls (which were badly damaged and scuffed). Can't fault their work and a nice bunch of guys too, very professional. Would highly recommend.

Michael and his team was referred by my local Dulux paint salesman. I was impressed by Michael's consultation and the flexibility he extended to me about the dates as things came up. The team of 7 descended on my house and worked efficiently and professionally with each other even with me underfoot. They quickly picked up and handed off tasks to each other and when only 3 appeared the next day, they still knew exactly how to carry on. Wall prep was done with a keen eye making a clean canvas for painting. Kevin finished our bedroom in one day. Dave worked like an artist on the living room/kitchen. Darnelle took care of quality control. The other 3 painters were clearly experienced painters too.(I just can't remember their names) My walls look amazing.I highly recommend Altona painting.
