I’ve had issues with dizziness and back pain for the last 6 years due to taking self-defense classes for 3 years. The choke holds and fall breaks caused my neck to become misaligned and caused scoliosis down my back when I was in my mid-twenties. I never had any back pain before that. I saw a couple of chiropractors over the years, and the last one helped greatly, but he said with all the adjustments he had done, the remaining rotation in the neck area and curvature to the spine were probably not going to improve any more.I felt like my body still had some healing left to do, so I checked out Symmetry 3 months ago. While the last chiropractor helped tremendously with the dizziness, I still didn’t feel quite right with sporadic lightheadedness and dizziness. Dr. Lindsey became my new doctor at Symmetry and I have continued to make great progress under her care. The back pain reduced to less than half what it was probably only a month in. I am able to have a more stable state of no dizziness. I can get out of bed without having to sit on the edge of the bed for 5 seconds before getting up. I can bend down to pick something up without feeling dizzy. The treatment is so easy that it doesn’t even feel real, but the results are visibly and neurologically apparent. My shoulders and hips are noticeably more even. I’m looking forward to seeing if the curvature in the spine reduces at my next follow up. This has been an answer to many prayers.Dr. Lindsey has been so nice and relatable, answers any questions I have, and reassures me along the way. I have been a patient of Dr. Taylor Bowker with Symmetry Health Chiropractic Center for about 2 years. At that time, I was a 68 year old senior experiencing chronic neck, back, hip and sciatica pain. I could barely walk 20 yards without terrible pain. My happy retirement life and associated golfing activity was negatively affected.I had never been to a Chiropractor in my life, but went to Symmetry after much coaching and encouragement by my Sister, who was a long time patient. She said the Doctors at Symmetry were specialized practitioners with additional medical training in Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care. She said it was not like a typical Chiropractic office. I went in for a specialized evaluation, including x-ray exams calculated to the smallest millimeter. My evaluation found my upper cervical spine to be misaligned which resulted in me having one shoulder lower than the other and one hip also lower than the other resulting in my right leg being over 1 inch shorter than the left. My root of my problems walking and standing up straight were readily identified. I was obviously ready to start treatments with Dr. Bowker. These treatments began with corrective gentile aligning of my upper cervical spine. Once Dr. Bowker successfully corrected this area, I had much less pain and felt better. She next began gentile treatment on my hips to bring them into equal alignment and return my legs to equal length. Her treatments worked and my back and hip pain subsided along with over 90% of my previous sciatica pain. Most importantly, I became able to stand up straighter, walk again and walk long distances with ease.What this all means is that Dr. Taylor Bowker and her specialized Chiropractic Care has changed my life. I am now a 70 year old senior who feels like I used to over 30 years ago. My health has improved dramatically. I have lost weight and regained mobility I thought age had robbed me of. OMG!!!! The best NUCCA chiropractic experience ever!!! I have been seeing Dr. Taylor at Symmetry Health Chiropractic for almost a month now. My initial visit was very informed. When I tell you, I have not felt this good in a really long time! The pain relief from the burning shoulders and upper back, as well as the lower back burning sensation. At that point, I gave up hope- I couldn’t imagine it ever improving. But Symmetry totally and completely turned it around. Dr. Roy and Dr. Dani have been a blessing to me. And at home, I’m not having my severe flare-ups like I used to. In fact, I cannot remember my last! Incredible caring doctors who focus on healing rather than fat pockets! I cannot thank Dr. Roy enough for relieving me of a 3 month long debilitating migraine within a few days! I walked into his office a few weeks ago, desperate, dizzy, unable to focus and scared. I tried everything else, 5 ER visits, a miriad of medications, Neurologists, lumbar puncture, MRI, CT Scans, ENT, GP, and so on. No one could figure out what was wrong and when medical doctors can't explain pain, they begin to treat you like you are crazy or a drug addict. I am neither, okay, maybe we are all a little crazy. 🤣 I was unable to work and care or provide for my myself and family. Times were reaching crisis level. He found significant compression, negative curvature and twists in my neck. Immediately after my first adjustment I felt fluid begin to drain from behind my ears and the dizziness lifted. A couple of days later, I ended up back in the ER from the migraine pain and was given the same migraine cocktail shot that had not worked 4 previous times. To my surprise, within 30 minutes the pain FINALLY lifted and has not returned 3 weeks later. The NUCCA technique adjustment, I believe, allowed the medicine to do it's job and break the migraine pain cycle. I am now back to work full time, and fully functional again. I have mild headaches still that are easily managed with Tylenol or Motrin but those get better after every adjustment. Now, after the 4th one the adjustments are holding and we are working on other parts of my body that have been painful for years. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me my life back Symmetry Health! PS. The entire staff is amazingly understanding and caring. After researching NUCCA and consulting with Dr. Pat, I postponed my surgery. He was confident he could help me after viewing X-rays and other diagnostic tests that were performed at the clinic. I will say this…you have to trust the process. My neck pain didn’t go away immediately. However, within 2 weeks I was completely off nerve pills. At around 6 weeks, I could feel a noticeable difference not just in my neck but lower back as well. I’ve been pain-free since and visit monthly as part of the maintenance plan. The clinic hours are flexible and front staff always welcoming. I have also been seen by Dr. Roy when Dr. Pat is out of town or his schedule is booked. One thing I especially appreciate about Dr. Kevin, is when I come in for my appointment I’ll tell him what type of pain I am experiencing and what I’ve been doing the past few days and he’ll listen to me and target the area and work on that in addition to the the plan he has for my long term care. If he tells you not to lift more than 10 pounds and twist your body, you must listen to him otherwise things can get worse. I learned that lesson pretty quickly. Hi people! If you're looking for a chiropractic office in the Austin area, this is the place to go. Long story short, I'm a bit of a klutz, and have had enough injuries to last a lifetime. I recently moved to Austin of March this year, and started my treatments with Dr. Kevin about 6 weeks ago. My experience so far has been quite the journey haha. Within the first couple of weeks, I was noticing drastic changes to my posture and my body weight being distributed evenly between both of my legs. Since I was relying on one leg for years, it was definitely a weird feeling. I work long work days, 9am-8pm. Before seeing Dr. Kevin, around 3-4pm on my work days, I would start getting pain in my lower back. To the point where I felt like I could collapse at any second bending over to pick up a pencil. Where I'm at now after 6 weeks, I'm here to tell you that my life is being changed. I rarely start getting achy on my shifts now. If I do, it's probably because I slept wrong the night before. Never have I ever had such intense results. Finally, it feels like we are not just alleviating symptoms, but actually fixing the root problems. Everyone's experience is unique, of course, but I've had phenomenal results in just a few appointments. I couldn't raise my arm past my shoulder or behind my back in months. I regained range of motion. I've been sleeping better and my cognitive clarity has noticeably improved. The most impressive result was a pain I've had for going on 20 years in the back of my leg while bending. Now, I can finally bend without anguish! My TMJ is slowly diminishing, as well. I reached out to many medical doctors, ETM's, all said they didn't know what was wrong, or gave me meds that did'nt even work and said this is something I have to learn to live with. DR PAT CHANGED ALL OF THAT! Praise God! I have been with Dr. Pat for about two months now and I am a new man. I am not completely cured, I have an inner ear auto-imune disease BUT I am 1000 times better. Flair ups used to mean head spinning, can't walk, can't work, severe nausea and vomiting and useless to my work and family. After my first 2 visits I noticed SERIOUS improvements, by this I mean, I no longer experienced my arms and hands tingling and falling asleep so badly I couldn’t lay down to sleep at night, I didn’t have headaches which I have had daily since I was 10 years old - 30 years of headaches - gone! I’ve had chronic hip , neck, shoulder, and jaw pain and true lack of alignment. These issues greatly effected me every day all day! My wife & I love the folks at Symmetry! We started going to see Drs. Dani & Pat back when it was a little “two-horse” chiro shop with just them & Vicki, the receptionist. They have really helped our back issues over the course of these years. My wife was still suffering the after effects of a bad accident & I’m 100% disabled with a prosthetic leg. Dr. Dani diagnosed our spinal problems (using their on-site Xray unit). Dani both corrected 3 bulging veritibral discs as well as correcting my hips to bring my amputated leg down even with my other one, vastly improving my gait when walking in my "pegleg" to the point where I'm walking naturally now. Note: The VA wanted to do surgery. Dani fixed that in three visits. Never had that surgery, BTW. In short, we can't recommend Symmetry Chiropractic enough. We make regular appointments as often as we can and although there are PLENTY of chiropractic clinics here in the Temple area we still make the trek from Belton to Cedar Park to see Drs. Dani & Pat. They are the only ones we trust with our backs and back/ hip/ posture problems. They are so gentle that you may be surprised that their technique (Nucca) is as good as it is. No “back cracking” here, ever. So if you are one of the folks who are leery about chiropractic due to some bad painful experiences then we urge you to try Symmetry before you give up on chiropractic altogether. Oh, and did I mention that they do their OWN X-rays? Yes, they have their own machine right in back so no extra trip (or bill) to get that done. My daughter knew that I had been going to Dr Dani and Dr Pat for quite a long time, so we talked about going to Symmetry and discussing her diagnosis. I told her that I had seen where they had worked on scoliosis patients and had good results. So, we took her in and Dr Dani did x-rays and prepared a plan for her treatment. Within 3 months, her spine was straight and she had no more pain in her back. When she went back to the orthopedist, I told her not to tell him what she had done but just see what he says about the results. He questioned what had she done to straighten her spine...that her number were almost perfect, and when we told them Chiropractic at Symmetry, he dismissed us because he couldn't believe that it had done this much good. We have been a client at Symmetry for almost 10 years they have treated my husband, and corrected a 3 inch difference in his legs over several treatments, myself, my 2 daughters and my 3 granddaughters....I will not go anywhere else to have chiropractic care. We manage to cope and get by with use of medications to treat the symptoms but ignore the causes. But it doesn't have to be that way. In the past I had only resorted to chiropractics when things got unbearable. I would go in to whoever could fit me in and get an adjustment and return to my pattern of treating symptoms and coping with pain. This cycle continued for over a decade and my quality of life suffered as a result. I didn't believe that it was something that could be fixed. I had accepted that my joints were damaged and that I would always experience pain, discomfort, and terrible sleep patterns due to the chain reaction that was occurring within my body. After receiving recommendations from multiple trusted sources I decided to give Chiropractics another shot. This time it was different. I went in expecting a bunch of joint popping and cracking and to be sent on my way. That was not the case. The Dr's and staff took the time to educate me about NUCCA Chiropractics, I was taken in for imaging on my muscles, spine and troubled joints, after imaging the Doctor (Dr. Patrick Lin) spent time evaluating my xrays and informed me that he would continue to study xrays and put together a plan for how he was going to treat me. I was very pleasantly surprised by this. In the past at other places I was treated on the spot without xray or evaluation and sent on my way. Upon returning for my 2nd visit I was pleasantly greeted by the staff like we had known each other for years. After a short wait (they are very punctual) I was taken back to meet with Dr. Patrick. I was very impressed at the detail in his explanations and his plan to treat me. The whole process was unlike any chiropractics I had experienced in the past. What was most impressive was the precision involved with the adjustments that were made. I was skeptical at first and I thought to myself "wheres all the cracking and popping"? Little did I know, that the adjustment he made (my atlas) was the most important one of all. After just a few minutes I was back up on my feet (with a noticeable unusual relief) and on my way. I continued to return for the duration of my treatment. Where there was some of the cracking and popping that I had expected as he worked his way through my back, hips and knees. The relief from pain that I have experienced has been amazing. I had come to terms with the fact that my joints were damaged and that I would always be in pain. That is not the case. A few minor misalignments were causing a chain reaction throughout my body. This isnt something that can be quickly fixed but relief from the pain is quick.
